NPCs and mobs are too small...

    By The-Great-Sephiroth:

I am running 2.0.8 and noticed tonight that many mobs and NPCs are way too small again. Zhevra runners, sunscale lashtails, Moonglade Wardens, and most Tauren in Thunder Bluff are smaller than my female Tauren druid.

Alright I opened up the template in MySQL Workbench. Taurens are too small with a scale of 1.35. They should be 1.4 or 1.5. As they are currently, my female Tauren character is taller than male Taurens and even larger than Cairn Bloodhoof himself, who is larger than any other Tauren I can think of. Also, the Undead are much smaller than they should be.

    UPDATE

Alright I was mistaken about the Tauren size. They seem a tad smaller than my male Tauren, but only if you look for it. Still, many other NPCs and mobs are too small. The zhevra are a good example, as are multiple Orc guards.

Then again, I just had a thought. When my female Tauren druid transforms into a cat, is her scale adjusted correctly? If not, some of the NPCs I come across may seem small due to the oversized lion model

No problem, links are below. I resized the images from 1600x1200 to 800x600 for faster viewing. I have the originals if you want them in full size, however.

Oh and as for undead size, a human-controlled Undead player comes up to the height of a female Tauren's breasts. Yes, let the motorboat puns commence...

I will check on this tonight. I seem to recall this thread from ages ago, but have not checked lately. If it still exists I can work on it. The thing is, I would have to work on it one mob at a time, by using "modify scale x.y" until I find the right scale. Is there a way to extract the original, Blizzard scales from the client files? If not I can handle this, but it will come in increments and may take a while, unless everything needs to be scaled by some exact amount.

I forgot to post the update to this. MANY mobs are incorrect again, including Horde Guards (entry 3501). The male guard is half the size of my female Tauren character. I have been generating a list of incorrect NPCs and mobs and will be creating a SQL update to fix it. Lots are wrong though. Some Zhevra are tiny, others are perfect. Different entries though.
