This is not a database problem.

The spell should delete 4 totems and add 1.

The spell only delete.

So it must be a database problem

check that u have free space in your bags when u use it, and check that there is item http://www.wowhead.com/?item=46978 in db

I checked it on my server.

I dont get an item and i have 12 slots free in mij bag.

And the item exist in the DB.

In fact its a core bug, normally you are right, the spell must add an item

but you can correct it easyly with

UPDATE quest_template SET RewItemId1=46978, RewItemCount1=1 WHERE entry IN (14100, 14111); 

thats all

ok, we've got 3 places where those 4 totems are destroyed:

1) quest template itself ( http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=14100#comments )

2) selfcasted spell with reagents http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=66747

3) DuelVsPlayer casted spell with spellEffect http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=66744

imho quest_template should be once again repacked from WDBs to make sure everything is in order. If it realy has ReqItemCountX = 1 than we should consider about adding exception/questflag or other field disabling destroying items pointed in ReqItemIdX

secound thouht is "Make Player Destroy Totems" in it's spelleffect, as it has propper spell target, should force selfcast on player "Totem of Earthean Ring" which will destroy finally totems and add reward.

It´s indeed a core bug, but this workarround works good for me.

This is still a bug as of Mangos 9763. I did the update posted above...but I had to login with a GM and send my Shaman a "Totem of the Earthen Ring" in the mail (because he already finished the quest). Once my shaman got it...his totem bar reappeared. Hopefully, the update I did above will stop it from happening again.
