Connection successful, but it stuck on realm selection

Hi MaNGOS community,

I've set MaNGOS server (for client 3.3.0a) and everything was fine. Then I was wondering to set it online. I did everything according to the tutorial. But when my friend wants to join my server, he get message that connection was successful but he stucks on realm selection screen. I thing that I did everything. I have fixed IP adress and my computer with the server is not behind a router. So I set realmlist to my IP adress, changed the adress in realmd database, create account for my friend and disable the firewall. I can join from my computer, but still my friend got the message about realm selection and he can't create character...

Any idea what's wrong?

I've read many threads about this on this forum but no success :-(

First thing on github.com mangos is on 3.2.2a core.

Upload realmd database

Upload Characters database

Upload Mangos database

Use ytdb last update.

Then should he will work.

I'm on patch 3.3.2 and I have the same issues, ever since i updated...

Clients authenticate and nothing....

I can connect even though i use my external IP as the realmlist.

There is no firewall on the linux system and ports on the router are forwarded correctly.

i heard about failure: when one PC is active in LAN (with or without wow - no dependence) and than another is connecting and launching WoW sometimes connection stuck at "Successfull" and nothing is happening. 8086 is opened and not used by PC1 in any way. Friend of mine had this problem. When she played on 3.2.2a mangos server without problems her roommate couldn't logon retail realm with patch 3.3.2.

It happens on retail and on MaNGOS since 3.3.2. Maybe blizzard account authentication tool preventing account theft messed something or maybe mather of 3rd party software like firewalls etc, or ISP fault?

I fixed mine by adding my computer to the DMZ on my router. The router's firewall is bad...
