How it should work:

When the target is at 25% hp drain soul does four times normal damage

How does it work:

Damage isnt x4.

I dont know if its broken in last rev, i don´t think so but i wish anybody can confirm it.

Maybe the problem is a custom patch?

read comments for spell: 4x damage applied not when health drop under 25% while drain BUT when drain casted at target an target have _at_cast_ <25 health.

After cast not important how many health will have target damage will constant 4x. This is how it must worjk and recently it fixed work in this way.

yeah i knew it, i mean, in my server if you cast drain soul at 20% hp for example it is doing wrong damage.

I only wanted to know if it is caused by a custom patch or if it is broken(im sure it is not broken )

The damage under 25% is definitely higher, but now it counts only base dmg of drain soul without spell power and done modifiers, which is in my opinion wrong. Before the revision that changed it it worked perfectly right - even the part that it matters on how much health does target have when the spell is casted (because it was implemented in SpellDamageBonusDone which is counted at the time of the whole cast and not at the time of a single tick...).

Yes, it used to work almost 100% perfect, when the damage was calculated per tick but recently it is doing, for example 1k normal,1600 at 25% and i am not sure if its only me

There is not a solution for Drain soul? this spell does not increase the damage x4 when the life of the target is under 25% of health. I have compiled a new server clean and free of patches with last source code of mangos and the problem still there. I guess I spent so much time of the last post, i guess someone have a solution for this spell, and can help us. I'll be very grateful if exist a solution.

Course we tried ti fix it in diferent ways but nothing work.
