What is the best repack of mangos for you ?

Hi... i have a mangos server like 4 year now...

I used Insider42 repack, RSA repack, Selector repack and now im using the kero99 (https://github.com/kero99) git repack...

The kero99 repack is the best i can find right now...

What is the best repack for you ??

There is no best repack. Getting the source and compiling it yourself is the single best way to do it.

I guess he meant repository not repack... cause RSA, Kero etc are people having their source code of mangos modified up (not repacked just-to-run)

Oh, yes, sory... repository they apply a lot of hack fixes and other things... is not just ro run... you can apply your own patches over it and then compile it

There are a lot of repository as you would but many are for own usage and they not show to public, so I think the best way is to make your own repository ^^ whith the best patch of popular kero99,insider and other.

I agree with that, lecails. Creating your own patched repo is the best way. It helps you to become more skilled at patching the server, plus, you know exactly how your server is configured so it makes tracking fixes and bugs a lot more simple.

The more you know, the better an administrator you become. Who knows, it might even lead to the path of becoming a developer!

I think the best in the end would be mangos main repo, since everything is clean, well tested, stable etc..... you know what i mean, stuff like mmaps thats ported here and there should instead be in active development (well i think it is but just put focus on making is working) then it will be ported to the main repository of mangos, so main repo = win

Agreed. There's enough bad repos with hack fixes and patches that are going nowhere. It would be nice if patch makers actually tried to have their patchse put into mangos master.

if there is any full fixed and usable work in repos you can use that but if dont see any think you will learn to how to fix your server by your works

there is a lot of tools for fix in mangos
