Why my IP dont work?

Hi. I have another problem up there. If i set in realmd->realmlist(table)->IP to my public IP and wow->data->enGB->realmlist.wtf to my public IP it wont connect me it says me only CONNECTING

Can somebody know why it is happening?

And what exactly did you do before? Already tried forwarding your realmd and mangos ports?

I have loaded new Vmaps into server but nothing with ports. Only new Vmaps and nothing else.

Well, try forwarding your ports. Guess you'll find a guide how to do that in your routers manual.

ok i have reseted it what now its still connecting

New sittuation... i let my public IP in database but i change my realmlist into 127.0.0.1 Now it stays on server list

I don't want you to do anything. I just wrote you should forward your ports. You might consider to search at google what that is.

PS: Ofc setting your outside ip in realmlist table was a good start. Might as well check a new in dev hosting behind a router article, I wrote [1].

if you're on windows you have to edit the hosts file so you're system can loopback to itself.

Wait a min now i was trying to set my tbl realmlist as my external IP and my realmlist.wtf as internal IP and it doesn´t work anyway. still success.

Can you explain me how to edit it? Like that???

Int <- internal IP (aka 127.0.0.1)

Ext <- external IP (aka 87.xxx.xx)

Dyn <- Dynamic DNS

1. You edit your realmist table and replace the address with "Ext". All other config files use "Int".

2. You modify your realmlist.wtf file to connect at "Ext". You'll connect via you external IP, just like everyone else could.

127.0.0.1 externalIP

That won't work. Host files are not designed to route one ip to another ip. You could use a dynamic DNS service. Replace your realmlist table with Dyn and modify your realmlist.wtf file to connect at "Dyn" and modify your hostfile to:

127.0.0.1  "Dyn" 

This way "Dyn" and "Int" are the same.

Like I said in my first post. You have to forward your routers ports: [1]

Unless you do that, your router blocks all incoming connections.

I have forwarded all of these ports. I set protocol to "both" and port check tool still cant find me.

Found it via google took me the time of writing the search string. Sorry can't help any further since I don't have that kind of router. All I can say is, it wont work until your ports are properly forwarded

Thanks for link it´s very helpfull but let´s think about it. I have forwarded ports 8085, 3724 with protocol type both which contains UDP and TCP protocol´s. And wait it´s all about router´s so if i will disconect my router it should work??? It´s only optional mind but if i will proceed to suicide state it can help me a lot

And all what upset me is that it was working before... and whitout forwarded ports...
