[Question] Maps for Mangos 3

Spikey

Question

Ok updated my wow client ran extractor seems on my client looks like World2.mpq is missing lol figures so this leaves me with 2 options find someone who has a successful extraction or have someone point me in the direction of a 434 client, I will add to this post with this setting up and getting the database completed was a pain in the @rss :P probably due to me being used to building different distros of this mmo who knows at this point in time.

Follow the sticky on getting a client (guess that sticky became unstuck or moved somewhere I don't know), works great, and you can pull the files from the original source (ie blizzard) and end up with what ever client version you want.

or use this link https://github.com/valcriss/wowregeneration

This is what I used to get a full client for 4.3.4 without any extras.

Ok followed all the steps extracting maps and got clean maps however I get this error trying to start server has anyone seen this I assume its a common one.

WORLD: VMap support included. LineOfSight:1, getHeight:1, indoorCheck:1
WORLD: VMap data directory is: ./vmaps
WORLD: mmap pathfinding enabled
Map file './maps/0004331.map' is non-compatible version (outdated?). Please, cre
ate new using ad.exe program.
Correct *.map files not found in path './maps' or *.vmtree/*.vmtile files in './
vmaps'. Please place *.map and vmap files in appropriate directories or correct
the DataDir value in the mangosd.conf file.

ACK!! I feel like a deer in head lights lol hmm I followed the link from the mangos page with the selection of different cores this is what I compiled seems to be (15595)

https://github.com/mangosthree/server

I followed the tutorial downloading the MPQ files given to me using Jdownloader (pretty cool I might add) then I used the extractors for the dbc, maps, vmaps

thanks for your reply

I am using this url for Jdownloader for the MPQ files has there been an update of some sort ?

hXXp://blizzard.vo.llnwd.net/o16/content/wow-pod-retail/EU/15050.direct/wow-15595-0C3502F50D17376754B9E9CB0109F4C5.mfil

Good evening,

Not sure why this was not given/offered to you before ...

4.3.4 exe's and files - http://getmangos.eu/madmax/WorldofWarcraft4.3.4.rar

Download the .exe from this url and run it in the folder where you extract the above .rar to - https://github.com/mangostools/wowregeneration/tree/master/Binary

It will download all the correct MPQ files from blizzards servers, I've tested this and it does work.
