[zero] [resolved] mangosd & realmd files are not "working"

Baerg

Question

Hello guys,

I have a little problem with my freshly set up MaNGOS Zero Server.

I cloned the files from the Github Zero page (https://github.com/mangoszero), compiled the core as various guides said, created and filled up databases and so on. So far, I got everything I should require to run a 1.12.1 server at home and test some stuff out...

Unfortunately, when I want to start mangosd.exe, the window pops up and disappears extremely quickly. I had to PrintScreen it to see what's the problem. It says that "mangosd.exe could not find mangosd.conf..." (Have the same problem with realmd.exe)

I edited the .conf.dist files, erased the .dist endings and saved them in a .conf format.

Do you guys know what should be the problem?

Thanks for any tip or advice.

So you have mangosd.conf alongside mangosd.exe ?

Have you tried looking in server.log ? Could we get server.log attached?

Yes, mangosd.exe and mangosd.conf are in the same folder as well as realmd.exe and realmd.conf.

Here is my "zero" folder. I guess I have every necessary files. Correct me, if I'm wrong.

Looking at that it still has .in on the end of it. (I can tell from the file type).

Please follow this - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/10570-file-extensions-hide-show.html

When you see .in on the end just rename from mangosd.conf.in to mangosd.conf

Thank your the quick responses but the problem is still there. (I tried all 3 options from the site you linked to me)

As you saw on my uploaded picture, no matter how I save and rename the .conf files, the .in endings are still visible in the "Type" column. I copied these files from the \bin\Win32_release folder, if this matters.

I think this ending-thing will be my problem, so I need to go further to solve it.

I've attached below the files you require without .in on the end and put them into a zip file :)

I really so **** appreciate your kindness and thank you for your help. I will use the files of course, but it would have been better if I could have solved the problem on my own.

Anyway, thank you!!!!! ;D ;D

PS: The second part of my last sentence looks weird, I always got problem with this part of the grammar. :o
