Rogues were a class i didn't touch until pretty much the end of TBC. Sunwell i think?

At that time at least, there was a separation between poisons and melee skills/white damage, namely if i recall it correctly that poisons fell under the 'spells' category, whereas the rest did not. Of course by that time in the game's history hit and spell hit were merged into a uniform unit, so all you had to do was add up as much as you could (that unreachable white damage hit cap). Nice and clear.

So the question that popped up is, how was it in retail? Where we had both spell hit rating and hit rating? And how does it currently stand in the Mangos one DB?
