Hi everybody,

have some problem launching mangosd.exe, dev21 branch, here's what it says :

2016-06-20 19:09:04 ERROR:Map file 'data/maps/0004331.map' is non-compatible version created with a different map-extractor version.

2016-06-20 19:09:04 ERROR:Correct *.map files not found in path 'data/maps' or *.vmtree/*.vmtile files in 'data/vmaps'. Please place *.map and vmap files in appropriate directories or correct the DataDir value in the mangosd.conf file.

I've used tools exe generated by DEV21 branch compilation

I've put all data folders in a folder and configure the worldserver.conf to point to the right folder

Is there some bug into the matrix ? or am i doing something wrong ?

Hi Draekonyss - make sure your client is patched to latest version before extraction - I had same error on my One install as I had mistakenly only applied one patch which took the client to v8278 (2.4.2); the extractors need 8606 client version (2.4.3) - although thinking about it you can't run extractor on previous versions as it checks client before extracting...have you altered the version checking on the extractor source and recompiled? I did because I am a drunk idiot

As i'm using MangosTwo (and not Mangos One), my client is 3.3.5a, and i never change the extractor source, the source are the copycat ones from the git.

Sorry I wasn't exactly clear, my point was that the client had to match what the extractor wanted, and would fail if it didn't match. The client you have is correct for mangostwo (12340).

Also do the obvious sanity-check of making sure the correct maps were put in the data dir. (I've accidentally copied a different version to the server structure before) - no offence but these things happen!

What OS are you compiling on? People have reported problems extracting maps on Linux - see here for a possible solution if you are:

https://www.getmangos.eu/general-help-amp-support/10708-extracting-game-content-vmaps-mmaps-dbc-maps.html

If not, link the outputs of mangosextractor.log and mangosextractor_detailed.log and hopefully someone can help you get it sorted, my expertise ends with getting zero and one compiled and maps extracted on win7.
