  1. As long as you'll use the same 32-bit or 64-bit architecture, yes.
  2. I created the same exact Gadgetzan Times (oldschool) website a couple of years ago. I could find it again and update it, if it would be of any use. EDIT: Seems that the old file is already expired Anyways, if MaNGOS team needs something different than it currently has (in terms of website design), I could gladly help out!
  3. Edit your posts. Use [#code#]Crashdump here[/#code#] (Remove the #)
  4. In my opinion, everything should be under one roof. Quite easier to report non-working stuff cuz if a newbie posts sd2 error, we can simply move the topic to sd2 space. Also, assigning the leading devs at each of the component sections as mods would improve relationships and keep the forums clean. I myself would stick with mangos even if it didnt had sd2 or database. But this is a learning project, why not learn complex system management in the same time ?
  5. 100% agreed with X-Savior. In my early days of being a seed (a newbie if you must...), I really didnt know where to start actually. Compiled it without sd2 and without proper database. The result was obviously a disaster... Having everything in one place would ease up the access to the whole project and gather the community in one place instead of three or even more. Also, a special forum branch for custom forks of mangos would be really appreciated. For example Mangosr2.
  6. I've created a #mangos-zero channel on irc.rizon.net. If anyone needs permissions, PM me via iRC and I'll gladly give them to corresponding people (like TheLuda).
  7. Once I'll get a bit sober, I'd like to be included in this train. Don't care where its going, cuz its MaNGOS and it will eventually go to awsumland, but a bit of training courses on the long ride would help out big time If anyone can PM a link(s) and/or text(s) on how I can contribute to MaNGOS[zero]/[one], huge thanks would be sent via E-Mail (I hope people still use it these days).
  8. Since when does Dwarven drinking contests include sheeps ? Anyways, I doubt that any sheep would conquer my 1st place guiness world record at Dwarven drinkin contest. I drank 18 kegs of beer in 12 minutes.
  9. This could really be the "thing" that we need It would add much MUCH more flexibility and maybe, easier way of fixing/adding things.
  10. Romain77 I could recommend a fork for you. http://www.github.com/rsa <- Has both MaNGOS and SD2 which are designed to work together. Been using it since I discovered it about 4-5 months ago. Awsum sauce
  11. Any news on this ? I'm quite excited to see the code/progress.
  12. It would be even better if there would be away to simply load the .dll's out of a folder. Somewhat like a lua, but built in C++ (the dll's I mean). This might be the start of it, time will tell how dedicated Xeross will be hehe /cheers
  13. My own suggestion would be to learn C++, start helping out MaNGOS or forking it with your own additions and only then look onto other games. Its true that mangos provides such a possibility to adapt it to other games, though I doubt that without C++ knowledge you'd do any good. Other MMORPG's require somewhat similar coding, but different altogether.
  14. Well, I'm a new user to Linux/Ubuntu, therefore, if it works - its fine. If not - its bad.
