  1. To get all the functionality out of Mangos you pretty much need an admin level of 4 nowadays, its what i recommend for MaNGOLin to ensure their are no problems. I hope to also provide an android and java based app in the future once i get MDReaM fully working as it will allow me to provide near complete control including remote restarting and remote conf modifications from either MaNGOLin or a phone app but this is way in the future. Wish i had an android phone to try out this app Flint but cant afford one unfortunately. Cheers
  2. Yes, I do Mitsubishi PLC's mostly but have done Allen Bradley in the past as well as a little Siemens but this isnt the place for this, pvt message me.
  3. Been freelancing for 4 years now from home, even though i have very varied skills from embedded micro-controllers, C, PLC's, SCADA through to Java, and SQL im finding it very hard to find work to support my family in the last 2 years, no one donates or so ive found so even keeping my website going is a chore, at least i have the option if things get too bad i can up sticks back to Aberdeen, Scotland and into a good paying job in the oil industry but it would be a real pain in the arse as im trying to take life easier. Hope things work out for you Luda and that your mangos work doesnt suffer for it, i have some money coming in a couple of months and hope to donate something then.
  4. Sorry to hear that Luda that sucks some people are just fecking shits! I actually don't release the source code to my work until i've been paid in full, and i issue my binaries to my first time customers using 60 day timeouts for their own testing purposes, i dont do this for repeat customers, failure to pay means no full license and code becomes useless so far ive had no problems or complaints I know these methods cant be used for all types of development work such as web design, and you have my sympathies.
  5. Would love to contribute to maintaining GetMangos but i'm afraid its been a bad year for me with very little contract work and very few sales of my own software, i'm also having a hard time finding the funds for maintaining my own website, need to concentrate on keeping my family fed & clothed instead, wish I was back in the UK i used to be loaded back then with a full time well paid job even if it was a rat race, the US economy sucks Things got so bad even considered taking MaNGOLin non-free but decided against it. Cheers a sorry and very broke Bannor Now off to cry in some very cheap and nasty beer.
  6. Have now confirmed that MaNGOLin 0.97d has been verified working for mangos 10545+
  7. I have posted an entry on my blog regarding the development status of MaNGOLin and why their has been a lull in activity on it, more info can be found here http://www.caledoniacomputers.com/?page_id=550 Cheers Bannor
  8. To ensure access to all the functions of MaNGOLin use a level 4 account, you can login using a Level 3 account but you should increase the privilege level on that account to level 4 once you have logged in. You can find the instructions here http://www.caledoniacomputers.com/?page_id=65 Cheers
  9. MaNGOLin used to use JTATelnet to handle remote access, but i have now replaced it with my own simpler and smaller code as JTATelnet was overkill although it is a very nice piece of code. The java source code is all available over at http://www.caledoniacomputers.com under the GPL2 license, of the top of my head the specific file that contains the remote access stuff is called mangostelnet.java. Cheers Bannor
  10. Their is a new release of MaNGOLin V0.97d available, I am pleased to announce that it now has support for Windows 7. Compatible with MaNGOS 9999 to 10258+ and WoW 3.3.3a, 3.3.5a clients. Various minor bug fixes plus support for Windows 7, smaller memory footprint. See top of thread for details and download. Cheers Bannor
  11. Their is a new release of MaNGOLin V0.97b available. Compatible with MaNGOS 9999 to 10258+ and WoW 3.3.3a, 3.3.5a clients. Fixed bug that would cause startup failure due to being unable to download additional data since UDB & UDB Wiki are down, this bug will probably only have affected first time users. The additional data is now downloaded from the Trinity Wiki as your guess is good as mine to what has happened to UDB. See top of thread for details and download. Cheers Bannor
  12. Their is a new release of MaNGOLin V0.97a available. Compatible with MaNGOS 9999 to 10258+ and WoW 3.3.3a, 3.3.5a clients. Fixed windows installer bug where it would fail to start up if you installed anyplace other than the default C:\\Program Files, it can now be installed anywhere. Some additional warning dialogs on Character customize and rename. Right click copy & paste functionality on certain text fields. See top of thread for details and download. Cheers Bannor
  13. Their is a new release of MaNGOLin V0.97d available. A whole host of bug fixes including the Portal Manager which is now working again. Three new features, Character customise, rename and set level. See top of thread for details and download. Cheers Bannor
  14. Their is a new release of MaNGOLin V0.96b available, this is a bug fix release due to the Mangos Security levels being reclassified. For all of MaNGOLin functions to work you are now required to have an ingame admin account with a security level of 4, for want of a better word ive called it GOD level and it can be changed from within MaNGOLin using the inline Accounts table editing. I had to remove the GM Level button for the moment due to a bug in Mangos which is currently only accepting levels 0 to 3 via the account set gmlevel command. Cheers Bannor
  15. Their is a new release of MaNGOLin V0.96a available, this is a bug fix release plus a few UI changes. It now also incorporates a debug output mode. See top of thread for details. Also the screenshots have been updated. Cheers Bannor

  17. Now have a replacement graphics card for the development machine so will take a look at doing a new revision of MaNGOLin in the near future. Cheers Bannor
  18. Im afraid that work on MaNGOLin has been stopped for the moment, my development PC suffered a graphics card meltdown and at the moment I cant afford to replace it. Hopefully the current MaNGOLin wont break in the meantime. Cheers Bannor
  19. Plenty of tools & scripts on this forum including my own (MaNGOLin) but it may be a bit of overkill for your purposes, just search and you shall find.
  20. Thought you might like to know, their is a new release of MaNGOLin V0.95a available. See top of thread for details. Cheers Bannor

  23. Flintman, I have not been able to duplicate your problem on my dual monitor setup on PCLinuxOS, Fedora, and Slackware and i'm afraid I just don't have the disk space to add Ubuntu and im not willing to blow away a current distro due to the amount of time i have to spend setting them up again. I am working on a new version which will have the facility to override the system font size via a setting in the configuration ini file which may help you, at the moment I think your best bet is to try the Display Size settings in the xorg.conf file. Thanks Bannor
  24. Flint man which distro are you using? I did encounter a problem with fonts being way to small on Linux where the monitor setup was incorrect and Java didnt pick up the correct DPI from Xorg due to a monitor being used at a non standard resolution or the monitor incorrectly reporting its geometry to Xorg. It can be fixed temporarily by specifying the DPI using something like xrandr --dpi 96 or modifying xorg.conf and putting you display size in there. Add to /etc/X11/xorg.conf, under Section "Monitor": DisplaySize <x> <y> where <x> is the horizontal size of your display, in millimeter <y> is the vertical size of your display, in millimeter Let me what distro you are using and i will take a look at fixing it, if you post on the Caledonia Website forums you will get a faster reply as i check there more frequently.
  25. New version MaNGOLin 0.94b released see top of thread and website for details. Cheers Bannor
