what about old repositories?

Sadly github still haven't sorted this out despite almost daily contact.

- Totally shocking behaviour on their part tbh.

It will be 2 weeks on Friday and we are no nearer to getting things resolved.

We have a copy of all the repos kept safe and will use them if we have to, however we would rather have them back or at least removed from the person who stole them.

We will have to make a tough decision by the end of the week as to what route we take.

Hi Mangos Members,

As you will have seen, we are working hard to get things back to normal.

Last night the 'safe haven' forum www.getmangos.freeforums.org was also attacked and shut down, hence this new one.

We are determined to get back up and running and I suppose we should be honoured that we are regarded as so much of a threat to certain small minded people that they are using so many resources to take us down.

But we will not give up !! - Hope to see you all back home at getMangos.com soon

The following steps will produce the guts of a markdown version of a forum post

1) Select All the article text (via Edit if possible)

2) Paste this into a text editor

3) Perform the following search and replaces

Find Replace **

Find Replace **

Find Replace *

Find Replace *

Find [ code] Replace with 4 spaces (no space before code)

Find [ /code] Replace with nothing/blank (no space before /code)

Find Replace with [@@@COPY URL HERE AS WELL@@@](

Find Replace with )

After that you will need to manually replace @@@COPY URL HERE AS WELL@@@ with the url next to it

If there are any Titles that start and end with **, these need to be changed so that they start with ## and have the trailing ** removed

Salja controls the main links in the Forum - I maintain the website

Furthermore, a GitHub guide should be written so that people can easily commit changes to their fork, without having to post code changes in the forum.

The procedure for this is simple:-

1) Clone the official repo you want to make changes to.

2) Make the changes to your copy of the repo.

3) Submit a push request.

Currently we have no wiki writers at all, I have been creating pages for the database structures and client formats as I learn them. I have created over 1300 pages in the last few months !!

- Plus documenting what they actually do since this information has been lost over then years.
