First of all some mistakes u might make that i did too: You cannot have empty passwords for the database, the config files dont support that. After properly extracted the maps dont forget to copy them to the "SOMETHING_install" folder of your server. Check that the realmd.conf file is properly pointing to them. By default is pointing to a "data" folder we dont have by default, u can use a "." in that setting to point to root folder and then gameserver will check for the "DBC", "maps","nmaps","vmaps". You might have forgotten to properly set the enviroment variable for either OpenSSL or Mariadb "OPENSSL_MODULES" - "C:\Program Files\OpenSSL-Win64\bin" C:\Program Files\MariaDB 11.8\bin TIP: if you try to execute either realmd. or mangosd and they instantly disapear, u can execute them directly from the command line to see a small trace of whats wrong with the instalation. The behavious is correct, after some time it will fade away. Then u do the other 2 ( i think is 3 of them ) to be able to tame a final pet

In the first line of the post is stated that MYSQL is deprecated, project recomends MariaDB instead, and its being proved on various post that method works and u can compile + launch projects with it if setup properly
