  1. hmm wonder what i did wrong ?? Using git://github.com/blueboy/ahbot.git But i have no items, And i got guid and charater all set, sql file added to charaters, got it trun on and such. Running Mangos: rev. using db: PSDB WotLK (r326) for 3.3.5a (Core r10357 / SD2 r1778)

    in mangos.exe window says it's running

    Initialize AuctionHouseBot...

    AuctionHouseBot updated by blueboy (original by Naicisum, ChrisK and Paradox)......"Looks like you missed something in source becaus Blueboy is playerbot not ahbot"

    AuctionHouseBot now includes AHBuyer by Kerbe and Paradox

    but thats all it say's used to say so many items of each... and i never changed the cong file...

    did you set your config file:

    AuctionHouseBot.Seller.Enabled = 1

    AuctionHouseBot.Buyer.Enabled = 1

  2. Why would this handle clients more efficiently than 1 port ?

    Also you'd need some frontend proxy if you want to balance between multiple ports.

    Depends on CPU, Virtualization, Muti-port steering (can be handled in core), Bandwith from ISP. Server Companies use this all of the time to serve multiple sites on one server and they do it very effectively, look at Blizzard, Aion, Guildwars, 1 and 1 webhosting, Dig Daddy webhosting and the list goes on. it would be nice for those that can have more than 100 clients at a time or host multiple realms at a time with out all of the extra DB accessing for multiple mangosd.exe's

  3. Because that's two different projects.

    "That would greatly facilitate the build time." -> come on, it takes 30 seconds more the first time you install MaNGOS/SD2...after that it's the same.

    Yes but us poor people using Windows have to compile 2 times just for 1 exe...and that takes a little-lot more time...but as you stated they are 2 seporate projects even though a lot of Developers are in both projects, and these forums would be a nightmare if you used it for both...The Luda would never get any sleep trying to keep it all running!.....

  4. I'll bow my head now...to you patman, Yes I know your knowledgeable and generally a good person from what I've seen it just gets me upset with the dam Microsoft/Mac/ Linux wars and you wouldn't beleive some of the stuff I've seen off a little statement like that! I my self run a Windows system for mostly fun and games, I do my work on a Mac Pro, and I gave up on learning Linux since all I can't find anyone that can teach me the command line and I can't find the programs or thier like that I use on ether OS...

    And BTW condescending prick isn't the right word...it starts with an "A" and ends with HOLE!

  5. Yes Patman I was refering to the Firewall, which is one name it is given for the masses and yes there is a program called iptable for Linux and I do have one on windows as well but the windows program does go a bit deeper than the firewall config, it also handles NAT table, as well as routing(which is what an IP/Table is) yes a Sourceforge Program came out 2 years ago for Windows XP/ Vista and Macintosh called IPTable Config and was created by the same people that made Apatchee. So I guess I still need to look at a book?

  6. I'm glad for you for having the forthought that windows users don't have iptables but just how does a windows machine then access a network? or use a router? Sorry bud but windows does have iptables and we use them but our tools for them make it easier for the masses not to mess them up...and if you want proof just open up a freshman colledge networking textbook...

  7. @xeross155, Thank You for all of the great work in keeping my ahbot going. I'll be keeping an eye on all that you do and hoping for the next bright thing you create!

    @Cybernium, Thank you for the new Idea, it works great and allows me to do less work. Now if you would do like xeross or get with him please set up a branch to pull from instead of patches that make updating more difficult, I for one would be thankfull.

  8. I can see this being a nice feature, but only if your running the other servers for blizzard as well like the Diablo or Diablo2 Private servers and if I remember on those they do have the Battle.net done up. I don't know personally why Mangos should impliment this feature when the current is more than enough.

  9. Cyberium, I encountered a problem, I reinstalled both my YTDB and UDB databases yesterday along with a new character DB configured ahbot in both the database and the config file but nothing showing up in Auction house and buyer is not buying, when I put a tune back in and restarted this morning the AH's started working again then I removed the Player from the config's and it seems to be working( I'll let you know later if it is)...

    I found it I think....it's in my source, I re-downloaded your first patch and compared with my repo and it looks like I still have some of the old patch patch still there...I'm putting together a new repo and I'll let you know.

    Ok, I've finnished testing and all three are working as per spec...yes it was in my repo also I've tested your newest patch and all looks good, Thank you for this!

  10. Well just last week I was on a public server running ACweb(yea every now and then I like Fun Servers) and they had the XPbar all the way upto 255 and they quoted on their forums that they were up to 3.3.5 client and to update...I asked about it and got told to F@@k OFF! it's private and I'm not one of their developers...

  11. @MrGhost, Thank You, I have learned from having to do my repo's over and over because of patches instead of straight pulls to start combining some of my common patches that really never change for easier rebuilds.

  12. @Toinan67, Thats my A$$H@le older Brother, he thinks he's better but all he knows came from when Caveman roamd and computers were made outta stone and vines!

    @xeross I've been looking at the client trying to understand how the xpbar works and see if it's possible to send a packet that turns it back on, I've seen it working under servers like well I won't mention thier names...

  13. If they don't like it they will tell me but it's up like this for other people as well...and yes it would be nice if all three get into the core as well. The biggest consideration is that they are up individually I just combined them for easy access.
