  1. I looked over a lot of code for my Brother, and we both came to and understanding...we both don't know JACK! about C++,but he's a ASM Freak and I'm just a Python Dweeb and nither of us can help blueboy other than yelling how great his work is, so when sombody comes along that can all of us who don't know Jack would live for that person to help...yes I'm talking to you Malloc88, give blueboy a hand before he rally does turn BLUE!....

  2. Ok We now have a gitguru in the ahbot thread....lol, earthwalker like I stated why are you using an old patch? as far as I know nobody has made a patch for ahbot in a really long time so whatever patch your trying to install won't work in the first place. My suggestion is start from scratch and do git pulls for everything you need. When your finnaly at a merge error with the pulls then maybe we could guide you in the proper direction to fix them...As it stands all you going to get is a massive headache and a core that crashes all of the time and I don't think you want that. I understand your trying to learn and I complement you there...

  3. I have a way to speed up playerbot but your not going to like it one bit....redo it in ASM but the AI is going to be a killer....infact...

    1002:fa25 BOE 1002:fc55

    1002:fa27 JSR 1002:fc23

I think you get my point....and I'm not about to rewrite everything blueboy has done...too much work....

  4. did you look at it thru gitgui? gitgiu will basicly tell you what happened...look for the >>>>>HEAD statements and normally you would delete everthing betweeen >>>>head and ========= and then look a little furtherdown and delet the comit statement( it looks like a long string of jumbled letters and nombers)...you ether have a bad merge or git got lost in the changes and needs your expert help...

  5. Updated to Rev 10179 and now all I get it this when trying to patch:-

    EARTHWALKER@THEBEAST c:/core files (master)
    $ git apply --whitespace=fix < ahbot.patch
    <stdin>:3526: trailing whitespace.

<stdin>:157: new blank line at EOF.
    +
<stdin>:258: new blank line at EOF.
    +
    error: patch failed: src/game/World.h:310
error: src/game/World.h: patch does not apply

    world.h is there btw.

Why are you using an old patch?...just do: 'git pull git://github.com/xeross/mangos.git ahbot' and then compile....I'm at rev 10179 now with no problems, as a matter of fact only a couple days ago the only problem I had was with playerbot and within 2 hours blueboy had that fixed...

  6. Have fun at your Exams, I already know you'll pass with flying colors....but just in case it gets too stressfull just remeber A+b=D, Blue isn't just a color, and Billy Really does wear Jeans! and Levis, Wranglers, and Bill!...oppps! I wasn't supposed to tell that!...for the world History class, Yes youe instructor is a Caveman, no thier not a Vegitarian and Mac Arther did invade China...by accident so he claims....I guess thats enough of the Cliff Notes to get you thru...and when your done just tell Vladmir we told you the Beer was on Him!

  7. I too have tested fishing in Dalaran at all the fishing spots and had no trouble whatsoever...Lynx3d it looks like you have gotten all the nagging problems I've seen removed like getting Dismounted leaving Dalaran, fishing in dalaran, and my personal Favorite...Fishing in the Lava Pools in Iron Forge!....on Retail I get a kick evey time I do that...some noob ask me how I'm fishing there....ROFL!...

  8. That example is an easy one, I'll answer for my brother since he only plays Warriors...the scroll's come in 2 flavors 1 teaches you that spell. and 2 others can use for themselves with out Enchanting, also as an enchanter you can have someone with Inscription make Vellums which you can enchant with certain spells and sell them...basicly the vellums become the scrolls others can use...for more examples look in your Auctionhouse under Consumables/Item Enchanting...all of those items are just likeyour example with the only difference as to which profession made it ie: Weapon Chain is made by a Blacksmith, Jorgamel Leg Armour is made by a Leathercrafter, Scrolls are made by an Enchanter.

I hope this is what you looking for...

  9. I take it this is going into the core soon....I'll be happy for one...the version I'm running now seems to be working good ie: when leaving Dalaran on persoal mount I don't get dismounted same with ariving to dalaran... I'm sure there are more areas and activities that are now working but haven't had a chance to find out...Thank to having little brothers that are smarter than I am!....

  10. Well, for the models part, I have spotted quite a few differences other than the horns or the fur between alliance and horde. The teeth, the chains. All those couldn't have been helmets or shirts. I don't think it works that way. And even if it did, why would they store basic models anyway ? Plus, World of Warcraft is pretty much the most basic mmorpg out there so try thinking shallower :)

I finished working on the patch quite a while ago. It just needs the testing. I lack the RAM and the time of running both a server and a client. Thanks a billion for volunteering. I haven't been getting any replies in a while. You saved me :D

Your right! and from what I've seen playing around with the model viewers it looks like Curious Lab's Poser setup...ie: a basic dummy manikin and with the hair face and other changes you do it stores them as props just like the items of armor and what not...so I would assume that the druid forms are the same... is that shalloow enough to think blizzard uses other ppls tech to acheive their end result?

  11. Where am I? We have the source and /dev/hands mounted to /mnt/shoulders? My question was "Who have scalable mangos icon" as i remember.

Did you taka a look at the ones I gave the link for? also in linux what format do you need exactly ie the extention and I'll see if I can format them spacificly for linux only if you need. Yhe ones I gave the link for have all sizes from 16x16 all the way up to 256x256(Windows Vista/7).

  12. I cant apply the last patch ! There is an error in the file "Unit.cpp"

    I did like that :

Git bash => "git apply vehicle.patch"

And I've got en error ! I think it because the release 10115 has modify the file so the patch isn't compatible with the last Mangos's version

    I used the Jethrogibbs's patch

Read my post it's 6 posts above yours....it will give you a clue

  13. Yes...but there is a problem with crc that way, and with Macintosh when you change a base resource you have to use ResEdit on Classic OS and on the New World OS, it doesn't convert very easy to a .pic formant which when useing Axailis or other halfway decent Icon program it auto generates because it save each picture in the set as a .pic....BUT!!!!!! with the Mac and I do believe some flavors of Linux you can use Properties and copy and paste a 256 x256 graghic in but still that doesn't change the Icon set it only put's in a temprary link to the new picture. Plus the other advantage from my way is that these same Icons I uploaded can be used to change an Imbeded set a program like Unreal Tournament where you can't just go to a folder and change a file. You have to remember that an Icon set originally was 4 Icons and now it's 6 with the newer OS's and origianlly was .bmp with Windows and .tiff with Mac now all use .pic(DAMM! ADOBE for forcing a standard! I liked it complicated...made more money that way!).

  14. Could be I'm using UDB and have had the same db' runnung for a year now I just patch up as needed...or could it be the SQL's from the vehicles branch because some of my sql's in my data branch date back to when netsky was first working on this.

  15. @ Traponinet yes i'm having the same issue, only noticed it today though after updating and applying Jethrogibbs' [10112] patch.

Try dumping Jethrogibb's patch and then doing a pull fron Wojta's repo and then apply my fix, then compile...I haven't had that problem and I did try Jethrogibbs' patch and with in 2 to 3 revisions it crashed the compiler in both unit.cpp and player.cpp. my branch thats following wojta's repo hasn't had the compiler issue yet.
