Nightrider84
Is there a way to put the DB into a sub folder? So it would look like, WoW TBC and you open it and it shows characters ect. Im looking to have a TBC and WLC database on the same server if possible. So they dont overwrite each other or mix together.
Olion
The DB setup scripts propose to select the function needed. At that stage you could disable any manipulations with (the existing) realmdb. Or, you could change the default values for this activity within the scripts (setting the variables createrealmDB, loadrealmDB from YES to NO). Olion
The MySQL server (as well as probably any other one) does not support any specific ordering of the databases. They must have different names, which is actually supported by the DB setup scripts: mangos2 is the WotLK world DB, mangos1 is the TBC one. Note also that the realmd must be single, as well as its DB; it will serve your several realms. The setup scripts are aware of this too.
Nightrider84
Ah ok so I can do the DB install and it would essentially leave realmdb ect alone and only setup the mangos2 ect for those? thats good news to hear saves me alot of trouble lol. Is there an option i need to do or will it automatically ingnore existing DB?
