Change race limitation

Hey, i'm pretty new here, and i've installed a Mangos zero wow server, is it possible to change the class requirement, like, i would like a tauren paladin (i.e) ^^'

I guess its possible if you change the entry in your characters database.

Since all quests for Paladins are designed for Allied races you should also modify your faction reputation in order to be friend with alliance npcs.

And you have to add a paladin trainer for the hord

Pretty sure i can't, when i create a new character, then change for a class that he can't have, relog, and tadaaa ~ poof, gone from my character list IG x) (i'm maybe doing wrong ?)

I can confirm this. Is there maybe a check mechanism in the mangos core?

That's a possibility, I'll check tonigth. You tell it's after login screen  ?

I do the following steps:

1.     Create a new Character race Tauren
2.     Logout out from the account
3.     Change the class ID from 1 (warrior) to 2 (paladin)
4.     Login to the account
5.     Character is gone

After changing number 3 back to original, the Character is back in the list.

There is a core limitation :

So if someone want to change the class to a non-race class, we can/should remove this couple of lines in core before compile it, right?

Yes, you can do a local change then recompile but you have to make in on a separate repo in order to be able to merge future fixes from official MaNGOS repos.
