Can anyone tell me where/how quest XP is calcualted?

I have not been able to find anything with a quick google and forum search.

There have been 2 quests where the XP is inflated bya factor of 10. I did not record the first one (But its one of the first Felwood quests to kill things in Jaedenar) and "Winterfall Activity" gave me 90000 XP at level 54 instead of 9000. I could not see a field in the "quest_template" table that has that value.

there is an xp rate multiplier in mangos.conf

failing that, the xp rates are held in the quest_templates in the database
