Cleaning up the source

I am currently re-looking into something we had planned to do at the beginning of the year but other things prevented us from pursuing it..

Inside the source tree we currently have one of the following messages near the top:-

Apart from the annual pain to have to remember to change these, since our URL's have now moved as well. Now would be a good time to move this around.

Rather than having the above, i'm proposing a blanket change to something like the following:-

This code is part of MaNGOS. Contributor & Copyright details are in AUTHORS/THANKS.

This achieves the goals of removing the year & url details are each file (hopefully dramatically reducing future trivial changes) and placing them centrally in those two files which are required as part of the GPL license.

Plus it also addresses the criticism sometimes aimed at mangos that we don't state our outside sources clearly (other projects are far far worse than us at this).

- If you look at the THANKS and AUTHORS files in the mangoszero/server repo, these have recently been updated

Actually, I do have to agree. It would be simpler to simply update two files and be done with it versus having to update the one file in each repo each year.

Just wanted to say that i agree strongly with this aswell, nothing that really doesn't support it. Just one place to change instead of a thousand

with the Release 18 builds (which should be live in each repo, this has been done. Going to close this topic now
