Is there any programs out there that will allow me to view what is inside of a dbc file. I ask because I have found that quests reference a value in the AreaTable.dbc file and while cmangos and trinitycore have the data for that particular dbc on the web their data is for 3.3.5 and I need the data for 4.3.4. I am just looking to view the data, not extract it or do anything else funny.

You can use the DBC Editor in "server / contrib / dbcEditer".

So I finally got around to trying this and the exe errors missing a library so I am wondering what this should be compiled in or where I could get the libraries from. Any ideas? Thanks.

Google 'Mydbceditor' its the most used. No need of the disclaimer of doing bad things to your dbcs, im guessing you just want zone numbers to put into quests. =)
