[THREE] Extracting Maps/Vmaps

Hello again,

I'll get an error with starting the server.

Check existing of map file 'data/maps/0004331.map': not exist!

Correct *.map files not found in path 'data/maps' or *.vmtree/*.vmtile files in 'data/vmaps'. Please place *.map and vmap files in appropriate directories or correct the DataDir value in the mangosd.conf file.

The map is visual and in the correct directory. After looking around on some forums i figure out to rebuilding the maps.

Can't get it work true windows because i only have the MS studio 2010. (the well known MSVCP110.dll error)

When i followed the linux guide I'll also get some errors:

Extract for VMAPc04. Beginning work ....

Cannot open archive Data/world.MPQ

Detected and using locale locale: enGB

Read LiquidType.dbc file...Done! (44 LiqTypes loaded)

ERROR: Extract for VMAPc04. Work NOT complete.

Precise vector data=0.

I think that have something to do with the libmpq part

There have been some changes since the wiki. there is no autogen.sh. Is there a alternative or is there no need for the libmpq part?

Make sure that you extract the maps from a full Cataclysm client (~22.5GB) and not from a compressed one.

If you have a compressed client you can place wowregeneration.exe into your World of Warcraft folder and execute it in order to download the full client.

on linux there is issue with archive paths (in mangos zero its fixed), i'm busy now with own projects, will try to update in few days. On windows it works well...

you can try to run windows extractor binary under wine.

First off all, happy new year!

With the hangover from the past few days, I have try doing the windows extraction. Ans with succes.

But still iv'e got the same error. So I'am running out on idea's. Anyone got pointers or a solution to this?

By adding the full path to the data the problem resolved. Thanks again for the suggestions given.
