Stupid boy didnt understand how mangos is working :(

Hi, in first im really sorry for my bas english, i will do my best.

Im a developper and i would like to understand how mangos is working.

But, i didnt understand.

All tuto on the internet is just copy/past some command and this way dont interesse me.

I tried to follow instruction on github mangos, but all version failed each time, and i dont understand why.

On this new site, it seems all version are already compiled (?)

And in the end, i really didnt understand what i need for running a server...

So what are my wishes ?

I would like to make a VM on debian 7

what ii need on my client ? only a game version 1.12 ? with localhost in the realmset ?

and on the server ?

need a core + db + map ? alright ?

why all version i tried to run failed ? is there some tuto or wiki are working ?

Seriously, i can read, i can learn but all sources i got are weird or bad....

I will tried to learn more with wiki on git, but pliz if someone can explain really simply or give some doc, i will be really happy

Hey guys,

first i have no IT background . Second is there a possibilty to install the Server on Win7?

I tried to install it already but it fails at the compiling thingy thing. I used this one; https://github.com/mangoswiki/Wiki/wiki/Installing%20MaNGOS%20on%20Windows

I was installing a private Server ages ago

and my friends and me want to have one just for a LAN party...

Maybe someone can assist me, that would be great!
