character transfer from old server to new server how?

I have a question, how do i get my chars with all information transferred from my old server to my new server without losing data

Assuming that they are the same version of mangos...

Backup your realm and character databases and then restore them onto the new one.

The mangos world database can just be recreated, unless you have custom content
