Hi there,

Firstly I'd like to say thank you, to all the people who have helped develop this software and made it what it is today.

I've been following the guide from https://www.getmangos.eu/wiki/Installation%20Guides/Windows/MaNGOS%20Zero%20Rel20.md but have run into some trouble.

While I've fixed the first few errors from searching this forum (and google!) there is a final issue that I cannot solve and appears to be the last hurdle to getting the server up and running!

The world server log says this:

2015-07-28 02:20:59 ERROR:SQL: SELECT required_20007_01_Rel20_Release_Prep FROM db_version LIMIT 1

2015-07-28 02:20:59 ERROR:query ERROR: Unknown column 'required_20007_01_Rel20_Release_Prep' in 'field list'

2015-07-28 02:20:59 ERROR:The table `db_version` in your [WORLD] database indicates that this database is out of date!

2015-07-28 02:20:59 ERROR:

2015-07-28 02:20:59 ERROR: [A] You have: --> `20007_18_Deadmines_Mr_Smite_Corrections.sql`

2015-07-28 02:20:59 ERROR:

2015-07-28 02:20:59 ERROR: You need: --> `20007_01_Rel20_Release_Prep.sql`

2015-07-28 02:20:59 ERROR:

2015-07-28 02:20:59 ERROR:You must apply all updates after [A] to to use mangos with this database.

2015-07-28 02:20:59 ERROR:These updates are included in the sql/updates folder.

2015-07-28 02:20:59 ERROR:Please read the included [README] in sql/updates for instructions on updating.

There are currently 4 threads which slow a similar problem, but I am yet to find a solution to fix this issue. The threads do appear to be relatively recent and so maybe this is an on-going issue.

When trying to execute 20007_01_Rel20_Release_Prep.sql this shows up:

1 queries executed, 0 success, 1 errors, 0 warnings

Query: ALTER TABLE db_version CHANGE COLUMN required_20004_01_Fix_UnitClass_Errors_Introduced_In_Rel19 required_20007_01_Rel20_Release_...

Error Code: 1054

Unknown column 'required_20004_01_Fix_UnitClass_Errors_Introduced_In_Rel19' in 'db_version'

After many hours I am going to call it a night. I'll check this thread in the morning, hoping to find someone more knowledgeable than me who may share a solution.

Edit1: It appears the wiki guide I used is outdated, pointing us towards the wrong versions of both world and database. From what I can make out, the Rel20 release is what has caused the bug, and Rel21 does not have this issue.

So, as I could not understand the proposed solutions in other threads, I think it is time to re-install windows server, and start from scratch. This time I'll use Rel21 for the server and the database, and post back my results.

Regards,

Magic
