  4. Hello, I currently have a global channel on my server and I want to know how to make all players to leave this channel, maybe erasing something from DB? It is cause I currently have a lot of testers online, ~800, and I'm thinking that the volume of message sends in the channel make the game server to lag a bit. Can someone help? Thanks in advance.

Hello I got a dedicated machine for my DB: Linux host 2.6.32-25-generic #45-Ubuntu SMP Sat Oct 16 19:52:42 UTC 2010 x 86_64 GNU/Linux Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS I have tried to install Percona, but there seems to be something wrong, It appear that InnoDB isnt fully installed or something like that, when I check my.cnf there isnt any configuration for innodb and I have to manually add them. Someone know what happened? Or I have to manually configure the my.cnf file? ======EDIT========== I have manually added the my.cnf configs that where missing, but I have to remove the innodb_data_file_path for mysql to work, what do you know of this config? It is recommended to have it added or not? If yes how to add it having MySQL working right? Also now that I have two servers, one with unix for DB, and one with Windows for core, where do you recommend me to have the website scripts? Like armory, manager and some player tools? On core server or on db server? Regards.

  10. Hello, I'm trying to update this patch to latest rev, but I need some help with a compile error. I have in CharacterHandler.cpp this: Player::LeaveAllArenaTeams(GUID_LOPART(guid)); But it is showing me this error: ..\\..\\src\\game\\CharacterHandler.cpp(1225) : error C2248: 'ObjectGuid::ObjectGuid' Someone have any idea how to fix this compile error? I have done this and it appear to work. Player::LeaveAllArenaTeams(guid); What do you think?

Hello, I'm currently doing some courses for a work I got as Oracle Database Administrator (Thanks MaNGOS for this ) and I came to the great idea to make MaNGOS support the use of an excelent DB software as Oracle is. Do you know if there is any way to make MaNGOS support Oracle? There is a free versión in Oracle website that could be used in order to make some test. Hope you like an idea like this one.

TY Diablox for your answer ^^ Now I have other question, here is my current my.ini for MySQL http://pastebin.com/r0snxKek My system is an intel i7 920, 12 Gb ram, 1 primary 500 Gb HD (This have the OS and programs installed), secondary 500 Gb HD (This have gameserver files, backups of DB's, apache server with some scripts for the wow), and a third 32 Gb SSD Disk with only MySQL Data files. I have tryed to configure it myself but I feel that it is still not properly working or configured on the right way, could someone please help me configuring the MySQL for an optimal work for example for 600~ Testers?? with scripts/proyects working like Armory and MiniManager?

  16. Rev: 10154 DB: YTDB 556 SD: SD2 1737 I didnt know where to report this, so I finally decide to do this here. When you use all the Gobs with the keys (Or any other DK use them) They took hours and hours to reactivate or dont reactivate at all unless the server crash or it is manually restarter, I make sure that the respawn time is less than 1 minute in the gameobject table in DB for each gob. This is making some problems in my server cause the keys are only fully working for less an hour, and then the DK's cant continue doing the quest cause of this. Anyone have this same problem or someone know a way to solve this? TY in advance.

I want to make a clean up in my Char and Realmd DB for example for an accout that have not been online since january 1, is there any script or could someone provide of a script to make this cleanup possible? Maybe a MySQL Job or something like that? To erase all about a char, auras, talents, spells, inventory, friends, etc.

  21. Hello. When I see in character_talent in the DB instead of using spell ID, it is using Talent ID, I have search for that Talent ID and still unable to find it. Could someone tell me where can I see which Talent is which spell? Thanks in advance.

Yes you only have to edit that file, and also change all "security" fields in the "mangos.commands" table and the "gmlevel" in "realmd.accounts" table in the DB Have in count that every acc that u want to be GM have to be AFTER SEC_MODERATOR, and for example if you want one account with some privileges but without being GM, set them BEFORE SEC_MODERATOR, here an example of how I got it now. enum AccountTypes { SEC_PLAYER = 0, SEC_VIP = 1, SEC_MODERATOR = 2, SEC_GAMEMASTER = 3, SEC_SENIORGM = 4, SEC_LEADGM = 5, SEC_ADMINISTRATOR = 6, SEC_CONSOLE = 7 // must be always last in list, accounts must have less security level always also }; This config is in src\\shared\\Common.h Hope this help.
  23. I got a question. I'm going to get a SSD disk of 32 Gb. The OS, the DB and the core files must be intalled in that same disk for a better performance? Or may I install the OS in a normal 500 Gb disk, and use the DB and Core Files in the SSD disk to have more space available?
