  1. jep, thats the problem with mangosR2: confusing/chaotic SQL-Updates. and the problem with mangos is: without any updates for weeks now... my opinion: mangos has reached its "end of life", there is no progress (and interest from devs?) anymore.
  2. hm...maybee i didn't understand right, but after a reboot, neither realmd.exe nor mangosd.exe will be startet if you didn't set it somehow to (auto)start. so why check "if ... then ..."? just put them somewhere in the "autostart" (i guess you are using windows)
  3. DBC: 247 MAPS: 5744 VMAPS: 8871 MMAPS: 3884 BUILDINGS: 6517 I think that are all the files that have been created during the extraction.
  4. I can only tell you that MY extraction of MMAPS showed me 3884 files, the files from Jethrogibbs are only 3658. But both worked for me. The file you mentioned exists in both of them...
  5. ok, sorry, i've forgot to tell that the RAM-usage is ok in my eyes, what i'm wondering of is the CPU usage. the cpu is an "Intel Core Duo T2300 1.66 GHz". i know that this is not a high-power-server-system the main application for this system is a 24/7 PVR-Backend (MythTV). from time to time i am starting mangos on this system to play for some minutes/hours and after this i'm closing mangos again. so why start and close (and log in/out) it every time? because of the cpu-usage which is unnecessary. if you look only at the CPU - Frequency (the Intel-Webpage tells me that the T2300 has really 2 cores ), than it should look like this: your (peak) 7%@2,8GHz should be 12,25%@1,6GHz on my system. but it is about three times higher than it should be. thats what i am wondering of. but don't give you too much hassle, i'm just wondering, it's nothing that is really bugging me or something
  6. hm, i am using "screen" too, but i have ~35% CPU usage (it's a 1,6GHz Dual-Core-CPU) and ~10% RAM (of overall 2GB) with NO player...i know there where times when mangos wasn't that hungry. any ideas why the cpu usage could be so high on my system? i am using the newest UDB and SD2. AH-Bot is deactivated. OS: Ubuntu 11.04 32bit compiling script: cmake ../../sources/mangos/ -DPCH=1 -DPREFIX=/home/pyromaniac/mangos_bin make -j2 make install
  7. could you please explain how you did that? on my system mangos uses about 35% of cpu with 0 players. maybe its the same reason.
  8. So am I, but could someone please tell me why there is a client-mod necessary?
  9. the faster the items disappear, the faster the AHBot will put new items into the AH. if you set Maxtime to 2 hours, alle your items will be "renewed" every 2 hours. so, i would say this should be a "very high frequency" edit: or maybe you want to know something different i think AHBot trys to fill the AH about every 20 seconds.
  10. hm... startet "ad.exe" and after that "makevmaps_simple.bat"?
  11. svn checkout https://unifieddb.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/unifieddb works fine for me
  12. also useful: "screen" -- http://www.manpagez.com/man/1/screen/ with screen you can run an application like in any other terminals, but detach the screen with "CTRL + A" and then "d" (for detach) reatach it again with "screen -r name" if you want to start it directly in the screen without interact: "screen -AdmS screen_name command" for example: screen -AdmS world bin/mangosd screen -AdmS realm bin/realmd to show you the running screens: (if only 1 exists it will autoatach) screen -r
  13. ok, couldn't really test the AH before 11743. i know what you mean now, played a little bit around, but don't have any ideas what could cause the crashes. seems kind of random for me at the moment...
  14. it seems to work with patch 11743 great work vladimir!!
