Rollhack - possible?

I know that roll is server side generated, but players on our server still thinks that rollhack is possible. We use revision 8448 and there is a player that rolls only for items that he need and his roll is every time higher than others.

Rollback is separate for each player. Mangos is the autosave, but each player has a counter to this. So one will be recording the dc and the other does not.

Not rollback but ROLLHACK. Roll number with command /roll.

my testers know method how to "win" roll without having highet roll. It is matter of propper key combination in exact time. I don't know how to do this but if you want I can ask (or perform interrogation )

Interesting... but it's really big problem on our server. There's one player and his roll is every time higher than roll of other players.

But still I don't know how it's possible.

You send "/roll" command to server, server use random() or similar function and then send random generated number to client.

I remember players using /e as role or /roll 90 100 which rolls only between 90&100...

correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't it announce to your group when someone rolls anything other than 1-100? so when you /roll 90-100 others will be notified

Ye it will show something like

X rolls 96 (90-100)

once i managed to loot an item from corpse when it actually was rolled need by others

You could with the Color Me addon which is a text-exploit to change colors and what-not but hardly anyone knows about it. Also there's support now to prevent fake-message sending.

Plus it's of no use when you're using the loot roll

Lot of groups are using DKP and master loot and roll for theri items with /roll.

Sorry for bumping this old threat, i just want to add the answer.

No it's not. There are specialized tools that make this happen. But using the fake-message preventing system will fix such problems.
