The Grounding Totem absorbs physical attacks: hit the warrior or the fereal for example.

Code written in way that not allow for totem redirect auto-attacks (totem related auras case just skipped in like case)

So posisble you meaning some special attacks redirects? can you name some like attacks then?

The totem has the following bugs:

-It redirects some physical abilites: Warrios and feral druids charges.

-It isn't destroyed after redirecting priest's "Dispel Magic"

-It isn't redirecting spells with "disorient" effects: shaman's "Hex", mage's "Polymorph" and paladin's "Repentance".

-When an allied priest heals someone with "Pennance", it is redirected by the totem.

How it SHOULD work: It should redirect one harmful spell.

How it DOES work: The bugs are explained above.

Totem shouldn't be destroyed by spells without dealing damage. There is periodic aura applying Grounding Totem redirection buff, it ticks every 10 seconds. When some Fear of Poly is redirected, the redirecting aura should fade, but totem should be standing and reapply aura on the next tick.

Currently this totem is casting redirecting aura instead of periodic one, which is a bug.

P.S. I may be wrong if Blizzard removed this mechanic of the totem in some patch and left the periodic spell in dbc.

The warrior or druid don't redirect to totem with this patch(redirect to the current target), but the effect of charges(cc) goes to the grounding totem.
