mySQL file request

Hi everyone, when I chose the mySQL file I accidentally chose the noinstall one and now I can not figure out how to configure the options that are needed to get maNGOS working. Is there some kind of configuration file I could download with JUST the options needed to start mySQL to get SQLYog working? thanks

Not sure I fully understand. Do you mean you downloaded a noinstall version of the mysql server?

nevermind, downloaded the installer version since my net reset itself today. I have a new question though, when extracting the DBCs, maps, mmaps nad vmaps I got a weird "could not read lichking-enus(or similar).MPQ, does it exist?" error, what could be causing this? I went from 2.0.0 > 2.0.1 > 2.4.0 > 2.4.1 > 2.4.2 > 2.4.3 > 3.0.1 > 3.0.1a > 3.0.2 > 3.0.3 > 3.0.8 > 3.0.9 > 3.1.0 > 3.1.1 > 3.1.1a > 3.1.2 > 3.1.2a > 3.1.3 > 3.1.3a > 3.2.0 > 3.2.1 > 3.2.2 > 3.2.2a > 3.3.0 > 3.3.2 > 3.2.2a > 3.3.3 > 3.3.3a > 3.3.5 > 3.3.5a and yet I got this issue (this is just a rough example, basically I went all the way from 2.0.0 to 3.3.5a using installers and patches, no errors).

EDIT: also, I have another question, I am trying to use a pre-compiled core I got from your site and was wondering what I would have to do aside from adding the characters, realmd and mangos.sql files to the mysql server, extracting the game content and adding it to the server directory? Do I need to update the revision as defined in the guide or is that already done?

What exact command were you using when doing the extraction? The tool needs to be in your wow directory, eg: /home/lfx/wow/ad.exe or C:\Program files\World of warcraft\ad.exe where wow/"World of Warcraft" is the folder that contains WoW.exe among others.

I simply ran the extractresources.sh script and it said that it could not find certain files. Found the issue though, YES I updated, but I failed to install the actual WoTLK mpq files (downloading from a noinstall client now, got lichking-locale and lichking-speech and am downloading lichking main mpq now). I do have a question though, aside from the mpq files, the .avi files for the intro, fall of the lich king and wrathgate, would I need to download the patches and common files as well or would just the above 3 work along with the patches?

Unfortunately i've got no idea as i haven't even tested that. If the issue is bandwidth i would just try with what you've got now and if it doesn't work i would guess that you're gonna need the patches aswell.

Thanks, I fixed the issue. just downloaded the .mpq files, the credits file, the manual and the avi files and added them to my WoW directory. I do have a few new issues though, would you or anyone else mind looking at my log files and seeing what the cause is? I followed the sql instructions to the letter (realmd, mangos and characters.sql followed by scriptdev2 create database, create structure and script full, followed by mangos_scriptname_full).

I am using a pre-configured core of mangostwo btw. Is there some sort of guide for using one? I got it straight from this site.

yes, the issue is resolved and I am enjoying playing on my own private server. Even got ike3's playerbot working too.
