problem with server crash, need help

ty all i use 3 manual to build 1 working server

all this 3 manual are incomplete and need corrections

when i take free time i make new easy one.

p.s.

i make something from 1 manual, something from 2 and something from 3 i bored but i run server ) tu allll i love youuuu

i with my friends start testing content and i write everithing about founded bugs on this forum

Personally i prefer this approach over creating 'Yet Another Install Guide'

congratulation to you. ddks! how about the precompiled binaries which can be downloaded from the website,is it still crashed? whether I prepare to compile the server by myself？

Try cloning again with this command:

git clone --recursive https://github.com/mangoszero/server

You dont need to do any additional commands with that one

I found the wiki incredibly confusing but thats just me. I was able (with the madmax to a different method) download source, compile using vs2013 with great success.

I did a fresh clone, build, extract and install onto my windows server box last night and ran wow from my Win8.1 pc.

- I created a new Human Paladin and a new Orc Warrior.

Both intro movies played correctly and I was then able to start questing once it was finished.

The only things I can think of are either A) corrupt client, or B) some of the maps are not complete !

Can you keep an eye on the console when the intro movie plays and see what happens at the end of it ?

Was map generator changed since 18.1? I use r19 compiled and pre-compiled and bot of them crash at intro movie. I have maps\vmaps from 18.1.

I'll try to redo them, though it's strange why it might have been changed.

Antz redid the maps system I think just before Rel19 was released, so yes you will need to redo the map extraction.
