just for the record i would like to clarify what SQL server MaNGOS supports.

im building a new installation from scratch for a tutorial im writing and i would like to know if MaNGOS supports the MariaDB as this is written by the same guy that did MySQL i would think it does as the software base is practically the same, however the history of MySQL and MariaDB is pretty thick. i will continue to build my test environment in hopes that it does support the different back-end if any one has an answer id still love to hear it. I will post my findings when i figure it out

good information to know thank you Antz for the quick reply i will begin working on this and hopefully in the upcoming week have some updated documentation on RPM based OS's
