Once upon a time there was a single project...

Then EGO's got the better of all the senior devs, things got heated - They then decided that they could no longer work on same project together :(

Now 2 Years later (and under new management) we are continuing to improve mangos but also include any cmangos fixes (plus fixes from other projects too) which we think are relevant.

- They do not generally include our fixes.

Thx for the reply, and for the explanations.

So, we can conclude that mangOS here is more complete than others projects ?

Which one is the most popular for private server ? ( curiosity)

And what are biggest differences between both of them ?

I just discovered Cmangos because of searching information about "BotPlayer", and its appears that this api is more stable for CMangos product.

The biggest differences between mangos and cmangos is the overhauls to several systems that we have updater ourselves. This includes:

- A new and more unified build system that works flawlessly on both Linux and Windows.

- We have updated and removed several unnecessary and insecure dependencies that cmangos still uses for their core.

- We by default ship with Eluna included, which is a Lua script engine.

- SD2 is merged into the core, which means you don't have to apply specific 3rd party code and additional compile steps like you have to on cmangos.

- Mangos Zero also comes with player bots included, however this is still in early development stages, so it is not yet fully optimized and updated.

- Mangos also has Warden anti cheat included.

As we pull in updates from cmangos as well as updates we do ourselves, in theory we have a more up to date code base in comparison.

Which core is more popular or most used is close to impossible to give you an answer to.
