  1. Thanks dude. Nothing like a good headache to get the juices flowing again Followed your instructions and everything compiled without error. extract and compile went fine. Ran server and got this :- VMap file './vmaps/000_43_31.vmdir' is missing or point to wrong version vmap fi le, redo vmaps with latest vmap_assembler.exe program Correct *.map files not found in path './maps' or *.vmap/*vmdir files in './vmap s'. Please place *.map/*.vmap/*.vmdir files in appropriate directories or correc t the DataDir value in the mangosd.conf file. That file '000_43_31.vmdir' is most definitely missing. In fact there are no vmdir files at all. Confused
  2. I'm also getting a compile failure now. Just re-pulled from the mangos.git to rev 10121 and compiled with no addons (ahbot/sd2). Nice clean build. 9>------ Build started: Project: realmd, Configuration: Release Win32 ------ 10>------ Build started: Project: game, Configuration: Release Win32 ------ 9>Build started 29/06/2010 13:00:56. 10>Build started 29/06/2010 13:00:56. 9>InitializeBuildStatus: 9> Touching ".\\realmd__Win32_Release\\realmd.unsuccessfulbuild". 10>InitializeBuildStatus: 10> Creating ".\\game__Win32_Release\\game.unsuccessfulbuild" because "AlwaysCreate" was specified. 9>ClCompile: 9> AuthSocket.cpp 9> BufferedSocket.cpp 9> Main.cpp 9> PatchHandler.cpp 10>ClCompile: 10> pchdef.cpp 9> RealmList.cpp 9> WheatyExceptionReport.cpp 9>Link: 9> Creating library ..\\..\\bin\\Win32_Release\\realmd.lib and object ..\\..\\bin\\Win32_Release\\realmd.exp 9> realmd.vcxproj -> C:\\core files\\win\\VC100\\..\\..\\bin\\Win32_Release\\realmd.exe 9>C:\\Program Files\\MSBuild\\Microsoft.Cpp\\v4.0\\Microsoft.CppCommon.targets(562,5): error MSB6006: "mt.exe" exited with code 31. 9> 9>Build FAILED. 12>Time Elapsed 00:00:18.03 ========== Build: 11 succeeded, 1 failed, 0 up-to-date, 0 skipped ========== But I see realmd.exe in the release folder....hmmmmmm.
  3. contrib/vmap_extract_assembler_bin: No such file or folder in your repository run makevmaps_SIMPLE.bat: That file doesn't exist in your repository Even if I use the simple.bat from my mangos folder and run, all seems well, but when I start mangosd.exe I get this:- VMap file './vmaps/000_43_31.vmdir' is missing or point to wrong version vmap file, redo vmaps with latest vmap_assembler.exe program Correct *.map files not found in path './maps' or *.vmap/*vmdir files in './vmaps'. Please place *.map/*.vmap/*.vmdir files in appropriate directories or correct the DataDir value in the mangosd.conf file. All this just to be able to fish in dalaran and orgrimmar..lol Ah well. I can wait
  4. It's a Sunday. Tennis, Formula 1, football, that probably caters for most people
  5. Easiest way of finding out what's going on is open a cmd window and run mangosd.exe from there. That windows won't close on you so you can see what is says
  6. I've been waiting for weeks now. Looks like they don't want any more registrations.
  7. Is there a way to make things sell? When I say that, I mean specific items. ATM things like blue/green weapons and armour sell always, but things like bars, (cobalt bars, saronite bars) never sell, at least on my server. Is there a way to include these at all?
  8. Thanks again Schmoozerd. It was your confirmation about the ascii still loading that got my brain working and realising that I have about 3 folders of core files, separate ahbot folder with xeros's pull and a separate folder for SD2 and I was compiling a different folder and not transferring the mangosscript.dll file to the one the server uses. You the man.
  9. That's exactly the ascii I was talking about m8. Thanks. I see yours is Mangos rev 9641+ and mine is "UDB 0.12.0 (391) for MaNGOS 9999 with SD2 SQL for rev. 1702" So either the new revs don't the same way and show that ascii, or for some odd reason mine isn't loading. Hmmmm, very odd.
  10. Hey peeps. How can I tell is SD2 is actually loading through the loading console? I'm sure there was a huge ascii bit when loading stipulating SD2 was loaded in the past, but atm, this is what I see:- Initializing Scripts... >>> Scripts Library mangosscript.dll was successfully loaded. DEBUG:: Initialize game time and timers Starting Map System Starting BattleGround System ==================================================== 100% >> Loaded 13 battlegrounds Loading Transports... ==================================================== 100% >> Loaded 24 transports Deleting expired bans... Calculate next daily quest reset time... Calculate next weekly quest reset time... Starting objects Pooling system... Starting Game Event system... GameEvent 16 "Gurubashi Arena Booty Run" started. GameEvent 21 "Call to Arms: Eye of the Storm!" started. GameEvent 31 "Edge of Madness, Renataki" started. Player::DeleteOldChars: Deleting all characters which have been deleted 30 days before... Initialize AuctionHouseBot... I ask because I am currently just outside shadowmoon village and the Infernal Attackers http://wow.allakhazam.com/Im/image/45103 cannot be targeted, so the quest "Besieged" cannot be completed. A couple of months back I am damn sure they were target-able. There are other problems, such as druids can't get bear form because the big bear in moonglade wont speak. I am sure both of these issues are SD2 related. I have re-grabbed SD2, compile mangos, then SD2 and all goes well with no errors. But something just seems to be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. yues, yes I know I am talking about SD2, but the grab and compile are fine, so I am thinking it is maybe a core issue or a compile issue even though I have no erros doing any of it. Even patching the AHbot likes me now..lol
  11. "Fault address: 078C70A2 01:000060A2 E:\\MaNGOS\\mangosscript.dll" I would definitely git the core nice and fresh, re-compile and then try, if that still causing the same effect, then it looks like your DB has corrupted. In that case, you'll need to delete the DB and re-install it.
  12. What I would do is delete the offending portals and recompile. The portals I use are 100% working. Portal to Silvermoon 182352 Portal to Thunder Bluff 176500 Portal to Undercity 176501 Portal to Orgrimmar 176499 Portal to Darnassus 176498 Portal to Exodar 182351 Portal to Ironforge 176497 Portal to Stormwind 176296 You will have to go into the database and change the data2 column to '0' as the default is '1' which is locked. Try that and see.
  13. No problem at all. You'd be surprised the amount of people who do forget. Human nature I guess
  14. Who's wrong? You didn't quote or give a name or post. Useless comment. kthnxbye
  15. Nope. What is it and what does it do.
  16. I like it m8. What I would like to see if that goes ahead or not is a way of changing the multiplier for the ahbuyer. atm I have it at x3 but that is for all items. Would be nice to see that split up for greens/blues/epic as blues and epics will always sell on retail for much much more, but with our current system we would lose out...so to speak. It's not hugely important as the seller and buyer works flawlessly on my system Change is always good though.
  17. You probably won't get any answers as you haven't giving any information for others to go on. What flavour of windows/unix. What mangos rev. What Visual C++ version, what sln are you using. The more info you give, the more people will be able to help.
  18. That would be excellent if it could be implemented. Another column perhaps with forbidden ids which you just add manually to suit your preference.
  19. Thanks dude. you answered my question. I didn't compile mangos first. It's OK, I'll go outside and slap myself. No idea why I didn't do that first as I would normally. I think it's the rareness of the sunshine we are having affecting my brain In sunny England
  20. Grabbed the new core files and went to do what I normally do to compile SD2 before the main core and now get this. Not sure if it is an SD2 error or a mangos error. 1>------ Build started: Project: ScriptDev2, Configuration: Release Win32 ------ 1>Build started 03/06/2010 15:30:49. 1>PrepareForBuild: 1> Creating directory "..\\..\\..\\..\\bin\\win32_release\\". 1>InitializeBuildStatus: 1> Creating ".\\ScriptDev2__Win32_Release\\ScriptDev2.unsuccessfulbuild" because "AlwaysCreate" was specified. 1>CustomBuild: 1> Extracting revision 1> The system cannot find the path specified. 1>C:\\Program Files\\MSBuild\\Microsoft.Cpp\\v4.0\\Microsoft.CppCommon.targets(151,5): error MSB6006: "cmd.exe" exited with code 3. 1> 1>Build FAILED. 1> 1>Time Elapsed 00:00:00.13 ========== Build: 0 succeeded, 1 failed, 0 up-to-date, 0 skipped ========== Deleted SD2 and mangos and re-grabbed to make sure and still this persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  21. I finally got it working now. I just completely deleted EVERYTHING and started again from scratch with the gits and databases/updates and all seems well. Thanks.
  22. Bringing religion into won't help. Lemmy is god anyway. I did exactly both of those. Same last error.
  23. Oh here we go, someone trying to correct me on my reading skills and English. Now that is hilarious. I suggest you read it again pal. He didn't asked WHERE they were stored, he wants to know IF the info stored about the banned players actually works!!!! You are so up yourself, it's incredible. Now sod off and go and troll someone else's posts. It doesn't make you look big or clever.
  24. Still happens on 9999. Only know as someone just mentioned it on the server. I'm not bothered, but it seems to erk players a little
