  1. Lets hope politics and religion are NOT on the menu as those things often offend people which will negate the purpose.
  2. I just decided to download cyberium's patch from here http://www.mediafire.com/file/v680rcp53d4p68h/ahbot10271.patch and test, even though mine was working anyway. It patched flawlessly to rev 10277. So to answer your statement mrelfire, we do have a working version and have done for many weeks. It just takes a little bit of brainpower and effort to make them work, but this patch by cyberium doesn't even require that. Patch and go....simple.
  3. Just look back a few pages and see my posts and you can imagine the pressure building up inside my head just before it explodes over my front room git mergetool is your friend as I found to bypass "patch does not apply" messages. If I (old man), can do it. Almost anyone can.
  4. I think many of us know what you mean, but have no idea how to prevent the window. I have had the same thing before...many moons ago. What I did was to backup the database, re-grab and re-compile mangos, then put the database back and update where necessary. On a sub-note, it would be good to tell us what flavour of windows you are using, what mangos rev, sd2 rev, database and rev you use. Also what compiler you use; as so many factors can influence the result.
  5. It would be helpful to the community as a whole to actually tell us HOW you solved it. This would prevent more posts which cover the same subject. Plus it's only polite anyway.
  6. Very close to it dude, 2.1ghtz with a massive 2gigs of ram running windows 7
  7. If you think it's all correct then it may be a problem that I had with security. Turn off all anti-virus and/or firewalls and try again. I was using an anti-virus which had an inbuilt firewall which I didn't know about which caused the same thing. Drove me around the bend for weeks Might also be worth setting up a no-ip account and using that in your database and realmlist.wtf to try and narrow down the problem.
  8. I run my server, my website and my reg page all from my own pc and neither the server nor the website or reg page ever slow down. My pc isn't that great either.
  9. Once the vmaps folder has been fully populated, the buildings folder is obselete. Delete the folder at your leisure
  10. This may be a silly question, but have you actually started mangosd.exe, let it finish loading and then tried to log in?
  11. I just copied the folder vmap_extract_assembler_bin to my wow client and ran makevmaps_SIMPLE.bat Everything was done for me and worked perfectly.
  12. 1) Yes 2) You can type in the console 'server info' your version is there, or update SD2 and it will say what version it's at, at the bottom of the tortoise window 3) I generally apply mangos first and then do the UDB updates, of there are any. UDB is at 391 anyway, although a huge update is just around the corner.
  13. Are you using vmapextractor3? and just to add, you also have to grab the new DBC's and maps using ad.exe
  14. By Jove I think I've done it! I solved it by typing in git mergetool which popped up a new gui in three parts. I clicked on the bottom one and chose save. Only other problem I had was when compiling. configenv error which I fixed and the ACE wrappers. Tried 4 times to compile but ace failed each time. Used the ace from my old working build seeing as there hasn't been any changes and all worked fine. Thanks once again to you all. Now I need to check all the fishing zones which you couldn't fish in previously and see if they are indeed populated with fish
  15. Why do you keep saying old patch? All I am doing is grabbing xeross's files and creating the patch using the specified commands. Each time I try I grab fresh files, so that tells me that if the file being created is old, then it's because the files I am getting it from are old. I am using a patch rather than just grabbing xeross's files and compiling because I see in his files he is using vmapextractor2 and not 3, so again his files are old or they would have v3. Also his sql's are very old compared to what I have in my main folder. Hopefully you understand a little more of where I am at and why I am doing what I am doing. UnkleNuke: Thanks dude. Your statement is like dropping a small amount of ouzo into a glass of lemonade...cloudy..lol But I will persevere, follow your guide as best I can and see what happens. I'll report back in a week or so...lol
  16. Tried so many different times now and still this error pops up:- error: patch failed: src/game/World.h:310 error: src/game/World.h: patch does not apply I think I'll be taking that one to my grave as my brain simply cannot absorb this git stuff at all. I'm obviously doing something wrong, but alas, I will probably never find it alone.
  17. The bit you mention is:- <<<<<<< HEAD + CONFIG_BOOL_STATS_SAVE_ONLY_ON_LOGOUT, + CONFIG_BOOL_CLEAN_CHARACTER_DB, + CONFIG_BOOL_VMAP_INDOOR_CHECK, ======= Hopefully I can figure this out..unlikely, but hopefully
  18. Started again. Grabbed the mangos git thing and then did what you suggested DaViper and now getting the same errors as Hexle. Exactly the same error. I'll keep trying as this new maps update looks sweet as
  19. eek! I think I'm going to need some help here. I right-clicked on c: and chose gitbash, put this in 'git pull git://github.com/xeross/mangos.git ahbot' and this happened. "EARTHWALKER@THEBEAST c:/ $ git pull git://github.com/xeross/mangos.git ahbot fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git EARTHWALKER@THEBEAST c:/ $" Normally I follow the steps on page 1 and have no problems getting the patch:- How to check out Code: git clone git://github.com/xeross/mangos.git ahbot cd ahbot git checkout -b ahbot origin/ahbot How to create a patch (First check out as shown above) Code: git diff master ahbot > ../ahbot.patch
  20. Updated to Rev 10179 and now all I get it this when trying to patch:- EARTHWALKER@THEBEAST c:/core files (master) $ git apply --whitespace=fix < ahbot.patch <stdin>:3526: trailing whitespace. <stdin>:157: new blank line at EOF. + <stdin>:258: new blank line at EOF. + error: patch failed: src/game/World.h:310 error: src/game/World.h: patch does not apply world.h is there btw.
  21. It still happens now, so no idea why. You can collect the award by setting your loot to auto-loot or by pressing shift and then opening the bag. Not a complete fix, but it works. Enjoy.
  22. If he can get onto that forum. I've been trying for months without success.Anyway... IRBlaze. What compile errors are you having with SD2? What rev of SD are you using, where did you get it from? So much more needs to be known before we can help you.

Please be a little clearer as to what you mean. Spawn what? What database? A half-answer is never as good as a full one.
