Closed UDB?

Udb it is closed that made more than 10 days that one does not have any more any news the forum is inaccessible. Would somebody know why?

I can think of 2 things:

1. Their DB guy is lazy/unavailable

2. They did this to reduce the load of a DDoS

hm, anyway, to make over 4-8 mb sql update packs is not easy and they works good with database

for forums and etc, maybe time to change, upgrade forum board for them?

and last thing, udb is not closing, dont worry and do not talk about closing

UDB has had more than their share of hosting troubles.

So long as the UDB SVN repo is still working there's nothing to really worry about, though it does leave patch and custom content contributors out in the cold.

They'll have the forums back up, eventually.

UPDATE:

Looks like UDB is back online, but they have yet to fully restore the forums. Looks like this version has been rolled back to March 2009. I do hope there is a more recent backup and it's just taking time to recover.

Looks like it's back down again. Been 2 days+ and I can't connect to http://udbforums.kicks-ass.net at all. It just says "Server not found".

None of us has any administrative duties on UDB, so we can't fix the UDB site either.

check your httpd logs ( if you have access to them ) it's not parsing properly most likely you will need a fresh install of your forums
