haha .... not trying to ....and my nickname here is one i made up just for mangos...so i'm not trying to get any credit....

If i would have posted my thread here, the problem would have bin that it would have apear in i dunno, page 25.... a month later noone would have ever seen it

But yes your topic was usefull, since its where i've started to learn everything that i needed to make a server and this is mainly why i've said in my first message that i was greatfull for all the thread blahlbahl....

Of course i've done the steps you've mention in your first post here and i had to ask few questions since for me as a new user, i had no freaking idea what Mangos was... i though i was gonna install this and everything would have worked... and there started the learn process...

I made my own document for myself if i ever had to reinstall my pc, and anyway i did use this to practice my microsoft word skills as it is part of my job... and i felt like sharing to everyone....

I'm not trying to steal your credits or anything as the information you provide was great, but i felt like adding all whats arround this... since you concentrated on your part talking about mangos.... for someone who's new, its not that much of an evidence to get everything up and running the right way....

So whenever someone is asking for help because he's not familiar with the concept, i glady propose my thread to help that person out...

Beside if you would like to help me out, i still haven't done the "update" part...where you need to update mangos the scriptdev etc... i'll probably work on this as soon as i know that the AHBot is fully operational...

I fixed the updating part, but now I have another problem... when I

-Right-click "characters" and select "Restore from SQL Dump"

-Click "Browse", and select the characters.sql in the same sql folder

-Click "Execute"

I get a error, help please.

Delete d:\\mangos\\win\\vc90\\script__win32_release\\vc90.pdb and rebuild. This Visual Studio bug

Hi .. i have this problem, and i know how to fix it, but i cant do it ... can somebody tell me in which order i must apply the updates:

Means you've extracted your files from a version of world of warcraft that isn't the one supported by your mangos version

If your Mangos version is 3.3.3 build 17000 (random number), then you need to patch your world of warcraft client up to build 17000 and then extract the maps files

You're most likely missing all the updates in between the two revisions that you're having issues with. Try applying the update packs on UDB and if your thing still doesn't work, apply individual updates from 9539 to the current revision. You can't skip updates, lol

It wouldn't matter if his client was out of date , he would get individual map errors not an error for every single map.

My WoW-Client is up to date...

What I'm thinking is that you don't have the maps folder in the same place as your MaNGOS executables are. Once you extract the maps, you need to move the folder into your MaNGOS folder along with the dbcs. If you have done this, then I'm pretty sure that you have vmaps enabled when you didn't extract them. You can toggle vmaps in mangosd.conf.

When I get to step 3 and right click the folder, It doesnt say Git Gui. Any suggestions?

Right, I have everything nice and set up. When I got to the step to load the realmd.exe and mangosd.exe, the realmd works fine, but on the other hand, mangosd seems to just pop up for less than a second, and then close. I'm not sure what's causing this.

Edit: I quickly took a screenshot of what the mangosd.exe is telling me. It says:

The table 'db_version' in your [WORLD] darabase indicates taht this database is out of date!

[A] You have: --> '9763_01_mangos_battleground_template.sql'

You need: --> '9924_02_mangos_command.sql'

You must apply all updates after [A] to to use mangos with this database.

These updates are included in the sql/updates folder. Etc.

Anyways, I guessed I need to run the query '9924_02_mangos_command.sql' on the mangos DB. I tried that, and the result contained something like 'Query : ALTER TABLE db_version CHANGE COLUMN blah blah'.

Edit2: Just for more info, when I was creating the SQL connection in SQLyog, the results from the queries contained a lot of errors.
