Help with setting up a server (not repack)

Heya,

I really enjoyed using the repack of Mangos, great work! However i would like to sometimes help test bugfixes as well (like the quest issue, which seemed to be a big deal). so i would like to update the server, which doesn't seem possible with the repack (or it does and i don't know how)

So i started looking around on github for the server data. Since the master is a few month's behind i thought downloading the zip files from Rel20 would work. So:

- I downloaded all the files with the zip

- I added the missing maps (Deps, Eluna and Realmd to the server (all master branch))

Now i would like to build the everything, however i get the following error messages:

Naamloos.png

I used VLC120.sln with visual studios 2013

So i would like to know what or where did i do/go wrong? Have i missed a step? Have i failed as a complete noob (probably ;) ) thanks :)

I'm not sure which Solution you used, but when building mangos from VS you should use the BuildEverything solution

- Located in the Win folder.

mhhh i used the rebuild solution with the Build everything VLC 120.sln in the Win folder. Thats the strange part haha. I dont really understand what i'm missing. I'm sure I got all the data from the Rel20 branch at Github and the master branches of Realmd, Eluna and Deps.

When you cloned the repo, how did you do it ?

git clone http://github.com/mangoszero/server.git --recursive -b Rel20

is the correct way to automatically get all the required sub libraries and put them in the correct place.

Damn, spotted the error and it's an oversight on my part.

The problem is your folder name "MangosZero Not Repack"

- i.e. the spaces

Rename that folder as MangosZero_Not_Repack and it should work fine

aha that's the cause? I tried it building on another computer (my desktop instead of my laptop) and it worked fine there. I suppose because i just named it Server there, thanks for your help!
