mangos three Interacting with objects

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this. I have installed mangos 3 and got it running but i get an error in game every time i try to interact with objects. The in game error is "you do not have a pet"

So my question would be is this an issue with the server or is it with the client?

As this is the Cata client, have you patched the client ?
- A Non-patched client acts in this way !

I'm not sure if I have a patched wow.exe I am using the one available from warmane.com.

 

Is there a way I can tell if it is patched or not?

The easiest way to tell is to try and patch it again

Ok Thanks. I've tried this and unfortunately I do have the patched client.

So does this imply that it is at the server side?

Cool. So if i wanted to help find where this is happening, where would i find some high level documents of the code base?.

I have spent some time in the past(many years ago) coding in C++. Currently I spend a lot of my time trouble shooting and bug fixing SQL code so i have some experience in finding issues that are less than obvious

If you install Doxygen and then point it at the sourcecode if should generate a chunk of code hierarchy which you can read
