  1. I'll see what I can do Update: New posts will now hide posts from the community cafe.
  2. Just create a Wiki account and edit it
  3. The sheep has a played time of 56 days since 2005. Obviously sheep are casuals *smirks*
  4. Thats why the section description explicitly states to avoid these topics.
  5. Depending on your browser you should easily be able to increase the Wiki text size. Every browser has a zoom function, and the new MediaWiki skin works damn well with zooming. Try it. I'm using it on a 24'' widescreen with plain zoom powered by Chrome. Regarding content: It's open you can change what you want
  6. It's been five years without. Let's give it a try, and see if good behavior survives
  7. A few tiny issues with upgrading user preferences have been resolved, and we're now running MediaWiki 1.16.0, and have left beta stage behind us. Tell the sheep if you spot any Wiki errors, please.
  8. I know, but dealing with that requires a lot of time, and effort. Even if you have only half the work as the software vendor does the rest. I'll always stick to the forum software that matches the current requirements. Sometimes Open Source is not the best option, and that is a thing, Open Source developers need to accept, and learn from.
  9. Good morning mangos community, we have just given a bit of love to our Wiki, and now sport the all new MediaWiki 1.16 with awesome, sexy style, and oh so nice editing functions. Enjoy the new Wiki, and feel free to feed the sheep in case of questions With kind regards,
  10. I'm quoting myself from page 1 of this thread:
  11. At least trying to Nothing is lost though, sheep haz archive on FireWire disks
  12. Dear mangos community members, yesterday evening we have executed a few maintenance tasks in order to repair and clean old threads which have been existing ever since 2005, and apparently some threads got lost during the process, which still have been in use. Should you miss any threads in which you posted - probably this will be an old multi-page thread - please report the threads' title and - if possible - its thread ID. I do have a backup and can restore threads, if any other happen to be killed. Yours, the "DELETE FROM threads, posts" sheep.
  13. I have restored thread 1209 (aka. [Not Working] Outdoor Pvp) and thread 12096 (aka WoW armory) from backup. Not all posts in these threads have been restored, since not all have been in backups. Should you have any missing thread, please post the thread name or its ID (if you remember it).
  14. I've been running some queries to repair broken posts / topics yesterday night. Originally this was intended to clean the mess which the vBulletin upgrade from 3.8.x to 4.0.x created *sigh* I'll see if I can restore the threads. No promises.
  15. As you may have noticed, the updated logo by you is now in use. Thanks again. It's cleaner than what I originally crafted
  16. Until we get any serious, legal offer not related to drugs, casinos, free realms, etc. you'll hardly see advertisements here. I've got no issues with ads, only with the shady, questionable ones that seem to rule the web
  17. Good evening, due to an increasing amount of users registered for the sole purpose of signature spam (for your beloved blue pill dealers, poker sites, and whatever else there is...), I have disabled the use of any link tag in signatures for now. We will wipe out these users within the next few days, and perform a few housekeeping tasks to clean up the forums. Links in signatures will be active again by next weekend. By then we'll have additional security measures installed to prevent further spam registrations. While we're at it: I'd ask those of you with links in their signatures to back up your signatures. Just in case, the sheep gets hungry and eats them  WkR, the time-shifted sheep
  18. Manual as in have an SQL query to determine your post count, and apply the rank again, after wiping clean the default ranks
  19. I have just changed the title setting. You'll now have normal user ranks, just like anyone else.
  20. I probably should have mentioned that those who donate should mention their forum username in the PayPal transaction comment, if your email address is not identical to the one used here. Makes it easier for me to give proper credits
  21. Primary reason for vBulletin and Invision Power Board (back then) was to have a vendor I could nail in case of issues, and since these forums sometimes have pretty extensive loads, its nicer when you can just call support to fix it. Over the course of the years ever since we switched from free phpbb (which was there in 2005 for a few months), we have seen a few situations where security fixes and bugs been uncovered and fixed by the vendors for us in a few hours. Short version: there's constantly someone new trying to hack these forums, and having paid support for that is a Good Thing.
  22. all of a sudden seems to be a nice rank
  23. Hi again, I just wanted to thanks all of you. The hosting bill for this month is paid and I am very, very thankful for everyone that helped and those that expressed their will to help. Great to see such kindness in these days. Yours truly, TheLuda *bows*
