  1. Just a tiny hint... do not get any ATI card, if you ever plan to enjoy 3D on Linux.

    The sheep is mad now
  3. Have you tried the subscribed threads list in your settings? It should at least tell you if you have enabled receiving mail for your stuff AFAIK this is disabled by default and has to be enabled on per thread base.
  4. Well, this is not about us. Password security is about you. How quick should people get hold of your email address, who you are, and probably whats on your mail account? I could disable that feature, but IMHO its not too hard. If you're on Linux, or Gnome/KDE user, there are pretty awesome password managers, that even generate fresh ones for you. Try it. I e.g. do use a combination of Gnome Seahorse, and my beloved Moleskin booklet for recording where I have stuff
  5. Oh I think did not spot that, fixed now, and thanks!
  6. That smells like I'll have to rebuild the search index ... oh the pain again *sigh*
  7. The funny thing about all this is that for years people now have claimed that Blizzard will fail in almost anything, since the talented people have left the company for new endeavours. But the truth is the "talented" people which left, founded new companies, started new projects, and all of them have miserably failed.

Stackoverflow also has this one. Nice read if you are getting started.

I guess in the end it all counts towards the greener grass on the other side of the river.
  10. Oh well, everybody is free to use his or her preferred auth system. I'll just embed them, and you can chose what you use.
  11. I could add OpenID support, and/or I could add a bridge between forums and wiki. Both is possible. I might even add Facebook/Twitter authentication.
  12. I'm already working on the content part now. Will provide the basic stuff soon, like templates and all the other tiny things making editing easier. Plan is to make things work the same way editing works on MediaWiki.org.

I've been to Britain quite often, and can probably answer that: You have a much wider variety of e.g. landscapes, weather, culture, and a few other tiny things, that people living on the continent probably miss. Weather probably is one of the first things you encounter, when you travel from southern to northern Britain.
  14. Weird stuff, but OK. I'll just restore all old threads in here then.
  15. Now that helps more with finding the actual issue. I'll add a fix.
  16. I will dig it out from the backups. The sheep blatantly killed threads started years ago with markup errors from 2006
  17. Well, can I have a screenshot please? I am a Linux user myself (openSUSE with dark Gilouche theme), and yet have not seen that issue. This site only has Linux administrators

<- Marathon addict here. Ever since 2004, love it, and can stop it.
  19. A whole new franchise rules out anything from Warcraft, Diablo, and Starcraft franchises
  20. Update All the tech updates have been finished, and we now have a fully working MediaWiki 1.16 installation, and I'd really like to highlight the uber awesome new editor once again. I'm sure this one is so damn good, it could save a kitten
  21. They quite repeatedly told the press their new MMO would play in a whole new franchise, which has no connection the their current game franchises
  22. It seems some sneaky Gnome hacked the forum theme, and super awesome Wowhead stuff has appeared. We have Wowhead tooltips, now wipe away the tears and rejoice! Enjoy, folks.
  23. More along the lines of a Mini Diablo. No, more along the lines of six months in a row, then breaks, and in total I might have had 10 to 14 months
  24. Editing the font size should be an alternative, too. Not everyone has large screens Never mind, I'll see what I can do. Besides.... the wiki now haz more shiny stuff: * Prettier - and even smarter - navigation on every page. * ... plus an all new editor with a revamped toolbar, making page editing oh so awesome smooth.
  25. Not that hard to be casual if you have a pre-school kid I'd say
