Warden - The definitive anti-cheat system
Sephiroth1983 replied to Auntie Mangos's topic in OldCore modifications
I don't think Tom_Rus intented to be rude by posting his 2010 version. The versions were fairly different, with dinstict approaches. Unluckily one approach is far better than the previous only because of structure, since it's more viable. Your version, Neo, was very good in ideas, coding and progress, so you don't need to feel bad for how the situation in this thread evolved. You are a very clever person that contributed a lot to research of wow development and to database progress, please rethink of your decision and just make it as a summer pause required to let people understand that some actions, even if not meant to be offensive, can lead to misunderstandings. Coding in our days is all about sharing and analyzing the code together to make it better, don't let the dramas win - leave that to MMoRPG's players. -

I'll provide it to my friend that is bothering me often about his warden problems and will let you know if it prevented Lua Protection Remover. Edit: He says it worked like magic, thanks. -

As I know with this version of warden you don't need to run it on wine, it's in mangosd: https://github.com/tomrus88/mangos_warden/commits/master -
Warden - The definitive anti-cheat system
Sephiroth1983 replied to Auntie Mangos's topic in OldCore modifications
There are false positives indeed. A friend of mine told me warden is banning for having Ati Tray Tools opened, which only changes Anti Aliasing and other graphic stuff. This quite screws up everything if not fixed. Checks that found Ati Tray Tools as cheat are page ckecks with id 88, 261 and 783 (with `address` = 174688 AND `length` = 37) -

Warden - The definitive anti-cheat system
Sephiroth1983 replied to Auntie Mangos's topic in OldCore modifications
As I know each module is an anti-cheat definition, it's obviously not related to the number of players checked. -
I know this topic is old, but this approach is very interesting and needs to be brought up, at least someone will read it and think about a way to implement it, I am sure it's the guid generating used in most games.

New death bug, very frequent in latest revision

We need both Multiprocessing for battlegroups and Multithreading inside every server instance.

[patch] PLAYER_FLAGS_NO_XP_GAIN
Sephiroth1983 replied to Auntie Mangos's topic in ... under reviewOld
Was this patch added in some form or still waiting for further development? -
Mangos Version: 9782 Custom Patches: not relevant SD2 Version: not relevant Database Name and Version : UDB 390 Non-implemented feature: Dungeon finder and its extra rewards In 3.3.2 the Dungeon Finder was introduced, and can be used for all instances, but you can only get emblems from the lvl70+ dungeons. Any dungeons outside of WotLK would give you a bag of gear, and some gold after completing the "quest". The way it works is like a match making system. It picks random players to fill in spots for your group that need to be filled, and it does it as fast as it can. You click DPS if you're DPS, and the Tank button if you're a Tank... easy enough. Not only does it work as a match making system, but also like an infinite daily quest with extra rewards. The First Heroic You Do During The Lock-Out Period Will Give You 2 Emblems of Frost** and some gold. Now, you can keep getting these "daily heroic dungeon quests" but after your first one, you would get less gold and but instead of EoF you would get 2 Emblems of Triumph. If you start the dungeon finder for a non-heroic dungeon, you would only get 2 Emblems of Triumph, but, you can start doing these at lvl68 with Utgarde Keep/The Nexus. And no, you don't get an emblem for defeating each boss in the instance on normal. You only get the emblem after defeating the last boss, and only if you had used the dungeon finder to start the instance.

I suggest to accept this fix.

Maybe DB problem in missing graveyard link, or a map glitch in detecting an existing one.
-
Weekly quests are not yet supported by mangos :\\

[FIX] Base health increased 7%. 3.2 Shaman
Sephiroth1983 replied to a topic in OldCore modifications
I doubt mangos added level 80 correct base health values for each class. Just for level 70 were perfect as I remember (DiSlord fixed those). -

Yeah please work on Wintergrasp as soon as this patch is ready to testers/users: TEST!

[patch] Speedup grid object search
Sephiroth1983 replied to Auntie Mangos's topic in ... acceptedOld
Then I can't wait for it to be accepted either. -
Probably my friend modified his core to have it not use any benefit when value is negative, not even buffs or other ways than spell power.
