Greetings,

within the last days we have added a new landing page to getmangos.eu which is aimed towards new users giving the most important resources about MaNGOS.

Today we have updated our Wiki with the fresh style.

We'd like to hear your opinion on the updated style and our landing page.

As for the Wiki, do you guys have any concerns about users posting about external projects on it?

I like the design of the page and the wiki. Looks clear, very succinct and functional.

The only problem is that it needs more content, and some of the existing content also needs updating. Apart from that, it's great, cheers!

Content is in the works. I need to fix a fix CSS issues first.

Regarding 3rd-party projects related to MaNGOS: the Wiki will have room for these, too.

I personally think that more information should be placed (don't ask me what, it just looks a little empty) but without making it look like a useless cluttered webpage.

how about possibly navigation bar on top, or left, and perhaps link to twitter page, or perhaps throw in RSS feed somewhere. Just a couple of ideas to throw out there for consideration:)

How about a way to link current(latest) revision from github? Just have somewhere at top like "Latest Revision: xxxx "

other than that, it looks good and functional:)

Its good its been a long time since I 'v looked up mangos (b4 BC) and this just made it nice and easy to fine everything:)

The new stuff...? sorry I guess I missed the old stuff? ... It's a lot better than some of the Sourceforge wiki's I've seen and been involved with over the years. Just like all wiki's it's an ever evolving thing and I hope to see what it looks like next year! thank you for all of your hard work it's paying off by what I see in the forums.

Everything looks great! It would be very useful to add on some portion of the site the "Latest Revisions":eek:. Not just the MaNGOS revision but all that apply to MaNGOS. IE: MaNG 3.1.3, UDB, Dev2, AI.... As long as everyone works together it would be great to see.

My feedback: Visually it's very nice. Content wise it is also very complete.

But I had much trouble finding what is where to tell you the truth and I'm not the usual net noob I would much prefer a more straight forward approach like:

What is it,Who make it,Discussions/Forums/Community,Dev stuff,Guides/Wikis all separated properly for the new user to discern easily.

The current format of Pitch In, Contribute( whats the difference between those 2? :huh: ),Feedback makes it unclear to the user of what content is in each link

We seem to be suffering from a fresh invasion of spammers. They must pay those guys good money for them to spend hours creating accounts on various forums and posting this crap by hand, unless they have managed to find a way around the spambot filters used here.
