I will take that zeppelin today and see if I can reproduce the issue. -

Alright, without getting too far of-topic, that made me laugh out loud. I am in a Starbucks working remotely right now. Everybody probably believes I am crazy now. Also, back in the days of dial-up in TFC I remember putting my sniper-dot on a guy, releasing the trigger and hiding, then a second or two later the guy got killed by a headshot and teleported BACK to where he was when I killed his low-latency butt! Anyway, I believe this message is related to this type of functionality.

I agree, this would be useful in the event you were helping a group with an overworld quest and did not want everybody else to see you.

No problem. When you start mangosd, start it with "gdb mangosd". It will take a minute to load all debugging symbols. Eventually you will get to a prompt that looks like "(gdb)". Type "run" and press enter, and the program runs. When/if it crashes and you get back to the "(gdb)" prompt, type "backtrace" and press enter to step back through the crash like I did.

That would be a bad idea in my opinion. If 1.0 is normal for everybody else but is actually 1.35~1.40 for Tauren, hwo would I ever know what to scale an entity to? Also, won't One be merged with the Zero branch at some point soon? Seems confusing as heck to me. -
This is not a logfile. I run in Linux. When I build I do a debug build. This builds in debugging symbols and such. Then when I start the server, I start with [b]gdb ./mangosd[/b]. GDB loads the symbols and drops me to a "(gdb)" prompt. I type "run" to start the server. When it crashes, I can type "backtrace" to step back through the code which caused the crash. That is what I am posting, my backtraces.

Skinning does not work

Skinning is working as intended. I had to override the default value for corpses decaying, and now they are staying around and I have skinned a dozen things already with no issues. Clean your cache and try again after setting the corpse delay to 0.5. -

This does not affect Zero. When I login on my shaman and try ".mod scale 1.35", nothing changes. Remember, Tauren are NOT 1.0, they are 1.35! If you are doing 1.0, you are incorrect. -

Works fine for me on R20. I will check again shortly. My main is a shaman and as such, I should notice his size being off. I will try a few things later. -

Have you had them clear the WDB cache? I had this exact issue and clearing the cache corrected it. Now however, corpses despawn instantly and cannot be skinned. -

I do not believe all mounts had sounds in Zero. In fact one of the "cool" mounts was the "Swift Zulian Tiger" because it had sound! It would roar when stretching. Others did not make those sounds. In TBC all mounts had sound to my knowledge. -

This time I was on mine. Hunters seem to be bringing down the server. *EDIT* Wait, both times my fiance was attempting to loot a corpse. Perhaps this is a bug with the new looting system? The odd thing is that my mom, fiance, and I played last night for two hours, all of us on warlocks, and no crash. She was on her lock just now, looted a corpse, and it crashed. Was it her looting or my pet wolf (Lupos) doing something?

I have not had to touch my configuration files in ages. Literally, months. Did configuration options get added? Normally when that happens you get a message about updating to the new version. -
Unknown poison? When my voidwalker was poisoned by a spider outside Tarren Mill, it logged "VW suffers 10 nature damage from Spider's poison". This is incorrect. On official, it simply stated "VW suffers 10 nature damage". When the mob died, it started logging "VW suffers 10 nature damage from Unknown's poison". The message should only log " suffers damage" or "You suffer damage" if the message is about your character.

Resist what? I am 1337! When a creature resists a warlock's "Drain Soul", the animation continues on the client and you cannot cast spells unless you move and break the spell. When DS is resisted, it should stop instantly. Also, if you DS is resisted and you allow it to continue, it will continue even after the mob has died. I suppose it is viewed as your warlock being so awesome that he can drain the soul from a dead corpse! However, you do not gain the soul when it ends.

I know what you're saying. What I am saying is that the effect is only supposed to appear when the quest is active for a player. In other words, the effect SHOULD be there, but it SHOULD be invisible until the quest makes it visible. I will attempt to look up the quest tomorrow and give you a link to it. *UPDATE* Ah-ha! I was right! I remember a quest spawning mobs there. I simply had to remember the name of the inn and BAM! There is the quest. Apparently it was removed in a later patch.
